「自然に囲まれ、滝や鳥、カエルの鳴き声が心地よくスタッフの人も英語が喋れない私達に、すごく親切に対応してくれて感じが良かったです！！ 朝食も美味しかったです。 ただ、部屋と建物の雰囲気はハワイと言うよりは東洋的な感じで独特でした。 空調設備が無いので、雨が降ると布団が湿気てたのが気になりました。 あと、ドアは開きにくいので初めにスタッフの人に開け方のコツを教えてもらった方が無難です。」

「Wonderful」

「ホテルのオーナーはとても親切な方々でした。Kitchenを使いたいとお願いすると嫌な顔もせずにいろいろと使わせてくれたり、貸してくれてとても助かりました。3階ということで遠くには海が見えてきれいでした。ただ、雨が降ると結構激しくなって車で10分ほど走ったところにあるHiloの町まで食事に行くのが面倒になりました。周りには食事するところがないのが、困った点です。歩いて食べに行けるところがあったらなあ～という感じで、全て車で解決というアメリカ的な生活は天気によっては結構大変ということを思い知らさせました。多分旅慣れた人にはとても良い隠れ家的な宿だと思います。」

「We arrived after sundown and were greeted with a blanket of stars over the property. Our cottage was beautiful and the sounds of nature made falling asleep incredibly easy. We woke up to an incredible view and the sounds of the farm to start our day right. Then we had some of the homegrown coffee and couldn't be happier we got to stay here.」

「Our stay at the small rustic farmhouse was peaceful and very pleasant. There is an ocean view from the back deck and even colored clouds and rainbows. We met some goats that lived next door and some neighbors walking their horses up the road. The songs of the birds, frogs and roosters was a delight during the evening and daytime. We bought some fresh eggs from the hosts that was so convenient and yummy. The bed is so comfy, and the location is a great central point to start from for adventuring...

「My family including 3 small children stayed here. It was such an amazing property. The view of the waterfall was spectacular, and the kids loved playing in it. Many things to do in the area that were within a 30 minute drive. Would definitely stay again.」

「We were delighted with Honoka'a and enjoyed an evening at a ranch west of Waimea, day trips to Kona, Hilo, a tropical garden, Hilo Farmer's market, and Captain Cook monument (for two of us hikers). The accommodations were great for 6 adults. Also enjoyed the oranges off the tree in the backyard.」

「This property is “ off the grid” for sure !! once you make it up the steep bumpy driveway you’re greeted by this amazing 12 sided little house ,…as you open up the top floor’s door you are greeted with this mind boggling ceiling !!! It’s an incredible piece of engineering to say the least , the hardwood floors and the beautiful kitchen are inviting. The bathrooms are accented with raised sinks and beautiful shower stalls . The wrap around lanai with its tables and benches invites you to sit...

「My husband, five year old and I stayed here for 3 days. We really enjoyed our stay! It was a beautiful open floor plan, artistic decor with big slider windows leading out to the patio. At night there was a wonderful cross breeze and sounds of geckos and coqui frogs floating on that breeze. It was in a convenient spot, not directly in town but close enough to go out for food, drinks, beaches, etc. The owners were kind and quiet. Their dog was such a sweetheart, our daughter loved the encounters...

「My husband and I loved our stay in this old farmhouse. The owners have made great attempts to renovate the buildings without taking the feeling of being transported to a previous time when Hawaii was more rural and unexplored. The outside gardens are just fantastic! Take the time to enjoy them if you chose to go.」

「Peaceful and relaxing」

「House as described, Dannie is a wonderful host and always reachable. She helped us with everything in our special situation, we will never forget her and Jessica. If you want a home away from the tourists you are right. Awaiting luxury and quietness, go in a hotel. It’s a normal neighborhood with chicken, dogs and everything else. We enjoyed it here, directly on the Hamakua coast line. Thanks for all, Dannie!」

「My husband and I so enjoyed our stay in the Pineapple Cottage at Hulili Farm. While the location made sight-seeing around the island easy, we often opted to stay in and enjoy the sound of the rain on the roof and the sway of the hanging bed on the lanai. We hope to come back again soon!」

「We loved this place so much! Thoughtful furnishings, a very nice house, but best of all is the location! We saw whales, stars, goats, wild pigs, sunrises, ships and barges, beautiful waves, and fruit trees. It was peaceful and quiet—away from all the people and bustle. But a quick trip to Hilo and other small towns with amenities. Perfect location to go to Volcanoes or just anywhere on the island.」
