Check in line was a joke, took over 90 minutes standing in a cattle line. The al cart restaurants were always “Full” or available after 9:00 pm and the food was poor. There was NEVER a Manager on duty, so any and all issues were never addressed and or resolved. Room service was available 50% of the time. There were lines for EVERYTHING, food, drinks, reservations, towels. Not worth the money, they have too many rooms and inadequate staff and supplies.

Checking in was horrible. They didn’t have a room for us when we arrived. They gave a room where people were still there, then they gave us another room which was at the very back with a view to the neighbour building which looked like it was under construction. We went the next day to ask if they could give us another room, the guy said to go back next day, and we did, but they told us that they wouldn’t move us at all. I told them that this would be the first and last time we would stay there, and the guy just shrugged and said “ok”. On the other hand, the buffet food was delicious and the pool was ok.

The pool is the best part of this place, I stayed in the old section apparently though. I had to walk for about 10 minutes to get to my room and go up several flights of stairs. It was a hike to my room. The pool is beautiful though, and the activities at the pool are amazing. The food was OK, typical all inclusive food. It’s in a good location for exploring Puerto Vallarta overall, I would stay there again, but I would request to be less of a distance away from the pool.

De forma general está bien, lo normal, lo malo es que yo reserve con la idea de que cuenta con estacionamiento, pues así lo indica la publicación en Expedia. Y la realidad es que no, al parecer cuentan con un estacionamiento pero no es para huéspedes, es público. Te dan la opción de usarlo y te hacen un 50% de descuento en su cobro por hora, y eso es un gasto extra no contemplado.

The room was clean, the bed reasonably comfortable. The food was OK (breakfasts excellent). Staff were friendly. Location good.

Main restaurant very hot typically with not enough air circulation fans or ac as main dining is open air, eating indoors highly recommended, Oriental cuisine restaurant struggled to serve food that you would want to consume, it was nearly impossible to find avocado in any restaurant on the property eg, main dining/Asian/Mexican specialty, cucumber was the go to filler for anything green on all menu items which for Mexico was extremely disappointing. Cevicheria was more tomato/cabbage/cucumber filler with very little protien except for chicken and soysauced octopus again zero avocado used in this mexican cusine. Do not stay at this resort if you are looking for food experiences or dining sorry, the italian restauran did serve some decent pasta but this is a reservation only dining and these reservations are limited to only certain days open and short dining windows. The staff here is not the problem but the management/resort owners and the leadership dictating the level of service staff can provide

Very clean resort. Staff was super friendly, we were in mountain view and it was quiet in that section which we appreciated. The 3 pool areas were great with one having a kids splash pool. They had a French fry, burger/ hotdog/ pizza area that was great for my granddaughter as she wouldn’t eat buffet. 4 speciality restaurants to choose from. Could use a snack shop but xoxx is down the block. Nightly entertainment was great. Would recommend resort.

This hotel is affordable and gets the job done. The hotel seems to be a bit older but overall the room was clean. The food is okay. The lady who makes the omelettes is rude. With that being said, I am giving a 3star rating due to the hospitality. A lot of the workers seem like they don’t want to work there or if you’re bothering them. If you're wanting something affordable then it’s okay. My advice, spend a little more and get something a little better.

We have been staying at Canto for the last 19yrs. Every employee here is amazing, the food is great and the entire hotel is always being cleaned around the clock. The only issue we had this week is that for the first time we had a room in the 300s section. 368 to be exact. The air conditioner was not working at all, the room is small and not lit well, bad lighting in there. We chose this room because we had one of our kids with us this time around. We always stay in the mountain villas which are great. These are small issues that are really not a big problem. With that said, we WILL keep coming back to this hotel. The service is amazing.

Nice room, great staff. The food was OK, but not great. They only let you book the restaurant reservations for every 2 nights you are staying. We stayed 4 nights and got 2 fancy dinners. The Ceviche restaurant was our favourite. Clean rooms, clean resort.
