Provo is very nice but is wildly overpriced for pretty much everything (food, lodging, transportation, activities, you name it) compared to other Caribbean destinations we’ve been to. So, this house came as a very welcome surprise to us. We comfortably slept 4 adults, 3 teens and a child here for 7 nights and really can’t complain about anything. The place is well-stocked and the on-site caretaker (Roger) is terrific. He got us beach chairs, an umbrella, snorkeling gear and a DVD player and a bunch of movies for the kids to watch in the evenings...all of which is part of the nice shared storage facility that he manages for the three villas on the property. The house is a short drive to all of the best beaches (and a very short walk to the Thursday night Fish Fry at Bight Park). It’s also right across the street from the Graceway IGA which was super convenient. We made lunch and packed a cooler every day for the beach (way, way cheaper than paying for lunch on the beach which can easily run $300-400 for our group) and having the grocery store across the street made it easy to pick up stuff for lunch, beer and water, etc. Also, great (and large) modern washer/dryer meant we only needed to pack small bags with a few outfits.
A few things to be aware of before you book: The bunk room is very small (no real floor space for bags, so we had to slide them under the lower bunk), two of the bedrooms are in a loft (which is comfortable and well-air conditioned but has a sloped ceiling that you are guaranteed to hit your head on at least once) and the one bathroom has a tiny but functional shower.
On the flip side, the master bedroom is very spacious and has a large bathroom so we ended up having some of the kids shower there during our stay and the outside patio is awesome...we spent most mornings and evenings out there.
All in all, we were very happy with our stay here and would gladly recommend it to others. Again, the price is right and it takes a bit of the sting out of paying a small fortune for dinners and excursions knowing that you didn’t overpay for your lodging.
