We checked the box of staying in the eclectic Dome Home but not without some problems. First the place wasn't cleaned very well, and if I could upload some photos I would. I think the attention to detail cleaning this place was the least of the cleaning team's worries. There was a sign to not move the furniture, and one of the reasons I know they didn't want it moved because there was a tremendous amount of dirt, sand, dust, chips, and whatever else under the couches and chairs. It was laughable. The air return was so packed full of dust it was noticeable from across the room. There were clumps of hair in the beds. Blinds fell from the windows downstairs. The bathroom soap dispensers had a little bit of soap in them that the cleaning crew filled with water. The soap dispensers I can say is nit picky, but if they're going to be left there they should be filled with soap not water. It's truly a shame the lack of care the management company showed in this property, because it is a cool place. Dated, but cool. ***We reported all this to Vacasa with the lame reply of we're really sorry for the issues in the home, our local staff has been notified and someone will reach out to you soon. NO ONE REACHED OUT.
After realizing how poor of a job was done on cleaning it got me looking at things a little harder so I tested the smoke detectors and found every smoke detector NOT working and 11 years old. Not a one upstairs or downstairs. ***We reported this to Vacasa with again the lame reply of we're really sorry for the issues in the home, our local staff has been notified and someone will reach out to you soon. And again NO ONE REACHED OUT. We waited on a call and after no contact from Vacasa I went out and bought a smoke detector for the second story where the two little four year old girls were staying. This was a safety issue and a code violation, not too mention my daughter and her friend were staying upstairs.
All in all I found out Vacasa is great at communication but terrible at addressing the concerns/problems. They tell you what you want to hear initially, but do not follow up. Vacasa did not care about us as customers, and the only thing I'd say they care about is flipping houses to make profits.
