"My rating is partially on my stay but more so the staff experience. Background: I have always wanted to visit this property. I am from the West Coast in California and it is a long journey to get there upon arrival. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. It is everything that I wanted in terms of a retreat and a place to really have a sense of peace. Unfortunately, there were two events that happened in rapid succession and I was not happy or enthused at all. Rather than go into the details of what transpired, I would like to go more in depth into their response. We all make mistakes, however, what I found very refreshing was that one, they not only owned up to both incidents, but two, they made every conceivable effort to atone for them. That level of honesty and urgency is ultimately why I would visit this resort again. That level of dignity and respect is very much appreciated and it was because of that that I was able to enjoy the rest of my time there."

"Excellent spot for a home base for exploring the island. Located in a quieter urban area with a good amount of local amenities. Close to the supermarket/restaurants/town center and the Beach is a 2 minute walk. Parking right across from the building. The apartment has everything you need and then some if you're planning on cooking your meals. Having a coffee on the patio was a nice way to start the day as well. Honestly, its a hidden gem of a spot."

"Absolutely one of the best accommodations we’ve ever had! The hosts are incredibly welcoming and friendly! They’re helpful and have great recommendations for everything you could want to do on the island. First off, the hotel was beautiful and a piece of art in itself. The room was spotless! They provided towels for the shower and darker towels for the thermal pools. The breakfast was delicious and a great start to every day. We will absolutely be staying with them again on our next stay! Thank you again!"

"What a great spot if you want quiet and tranquility, the view was spectacular. Went for a nice walk in the morning along the bluff not a place to go if you do not have a car or don’t bring groceries with you. It’s a bit far out that is what I loved about it. "

"The property met all of the needs of our multi generational family. Great location easy to walk or drive anywhere we wanted to go to! I would highly recommend this location to anyone travelli ng to Sao Miguel. Easy place to get to from the airport and puts you right in the center of the island. Ribiera Grande is the bees knees!!!!"

"We enjoyed our time here and on the beautiful island of Sao Miguel. The place is very comfortable, reasonably equipped and quite clean but there were a fair number of ants around, which was annoying. Beatrice & Silvia were very responsive and offered to spray as soon as we let them know about the ants. We declined and asked for ant traps instead, which they provided. The location was perfect for easy access to all parts of the island."

"We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend! The street it is located on is a typical narrow Portugeuse street but behind a private gate is the beautiful villa on the host's property with lots of greenspace! The host is very attentive and kind. The villa was equipped with absolutely everything we needed and we appreciated the small touches like ample towels, toilet paper, fully equipped kitchen and AC. Obrigado! "
