The property has a beautiful outlook across the sea and is well located for local shops/restaurant, Ponta Delgada town/airport, Sete Cidades and other popular tourist spots. It was fine for a two night stay prior to our flight back to the UK, and gave us time to fit in some further explorations of that end of the island. The house itself is spacious, but there were a number of niggles such as loose door handles, a bathroom door that didn't close without a big push and bang which wasn't ideal at night (bathroom downstairs), and plug sockets pulled out of the wall. The above ground pool was pleasant enough and clean, but the decking was in need of repair - one of our party got a nasty splinter. These things didn't stop us enjoying the area for our final day, but not sure we would have enjoyed the niggles for a week. It's a shame, because if these things could be sorted it would without a doubt have received a better review from us. Contact from the host could have been better, for example receiving the directions to the house just 30 minutes before arrival wasn't ideal especially as I had emailed two days before. Also receiving an email on the day of departure that said we had to be out by 10am, when the house information states 11am was slightly inconvenient.
