Spacious, clean and quiet building. Great location to 5th Ave, 38th Street and beach access. Nice rooftop and elevator worked very well. Would be great to supply cushions to the outdoor furniture as there was only 1 cushion for the one of two chairs and none for the loveseat. The check-in and checkout process was easy. Grocery store was only a couple of blocks away along with water refilling station and laundry facilities. We would definitely stay again.

We were just outside of the Central location but still a street over from 5th Ace and a block from the beach. It was the perfect location this shoulder season. Plenty of shops nearby and a large supermarket 5 mins away on 10th ave.

Disappointed

First of all, the codes to enter the complex and the apartment never worked, and my sister and I had to wait in the heat outside for over half an hour until the customer service person answered. All the codes were wrong. When we got in, the shower wasn't working, so I told them we'd have to use the auxiliary hose to shower. They planned to come two days later at 7:00 a.m. to fix it, which never happened. I also let them know that some of the lights weren't working and that a pan in the kitchen was crooked and unusable. I asked if the apartment had a table and iron, and they said yes. When I arrived, I told them I couldn't find it anywhere, and they told me they would send someone. No one came either. Communication in general is very poor, they answer you quickly, but at the same time there are several people and among them they answer different things, in the end there is no clear communication between them and it is very confusing, before completing my reservation, I asked them about the latest complaints and bad comments they had to see if they had fixed the lights and the shower and their response was yes, that the team is always aware of what needs to be fixed, very general, the answer, but in the end to know that they had not fixed anything. it is very unfortunate to have to bathe with a hose for six continuous days, they should return some money for all these bad times that they made us go through during our birthday celebration/vacation.

Good stay but no longer than a week

My partner and I stayed in this apartment for 2 weeks. It started off okay. The space was clean, yet a bit dusty (clearly no one had been in the space for a long time). It is about 15 min walk to the nicer beach (the 4 min walk beach nearby smells and is very small). It is also in the more quite area of the very busy part of Playa which was very nice. Very kind neighbors and good rooftop pool. All was good until about the 4th day when toilet broke. We immediately contacted the

Overall pretty good stay

The condo was generally great, clean & welcoming, but in need of some updates and would be good if it was a little more well equipped. The bedding was a rough cotton coverlet, all the bathroom fixtures and shower head badly need replacing, the lampshades are broken, etc. these are not major life issues, but a soft comforter on the bed and well maintained parts would’ve made a big difference to us, and the shower head had great pressure but sprayed everywhere. Construction is still going on on the street but we didn’t have any noise issues at all. The best part was the very short walk to shops and amazing restaurants. That made up for any issues we had with the room. And please add an iron for future guests!

This was a nice one bedroom 1 1/2 bath condo in a good area near Playa Del Carmen extended 5th Avenue and close walk to beaches. Very safe area and near taxi service if you wish to go places to far to walk. The only drawback was typical of Mexico signage is limited and a very small sign on the building which made it hard to find when arriving at night. No light at the front door when trying to input the door code and the lights near the condo door stay on all of two seconds which presents a problem with the lockbox code. I would rent here again in the future.

As advertised

You can’t beat the location of this property. It’s close to everything. The property itself is a little older. The air conditioner in the living room just never really got cold too much, the fridge needs to be replaced. The facets spray water everywhere and I mean every faucet. The pool needs some TLC. Everything worked, it’s just an older property. I would definitely stay again.

No water, no electricity for 2 days!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. I've been traveling the world since I was 5 years old. This is hands down the worst experience I've ever had. Supposedly the power went out in the whole area & we were w/o water & power for 2 days. I say "supposedly" b/c we still had power in random parts of the apartment. Also there's a pharmacy on the 1st floor of the building. They still had power. There's a rooftop club across the street. They still had power. So I'm not really buying the "whole area" lost power thing. But even if that's true or possible, then why doesn't Vacasa have a backup generator? I rented a condo from Vacasa not the city of Playa. Vacasa is responsible for providing the basic necessities like water & electricity. & to refund my card $20 is a joke. We had to shower at a friend's hotel for 2 days. That inconvenience is worth way more than $20. Leaving people w/o water & power for 2 days while on vacation is unacceptable & taking no responsibility for it is unacceptable. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Honestly VRBO needs to delist them

Bare minimum

Property was okay for 7 days. Kitchen was stocked with bare essentials. There were no tea towels, face towels and other items you would expect in a rental. Cabinet handles were filthy. Had to call maintenance twice as no hot water and a flood in the bedroom after a rainfall. More instructions on how to use appliances and a map of the area would have been nice

Nice place but could use some upgrades

We had a frustrating start as we received the wrong code to enter the building. We communicated with numerous contacts but no one was able to help. Ensure you get the correct code. Also the water in the shower is cold; I complained about it but it was never resolved. The place is in an ideal location; close to beach and shopping and food at close proximity.

Not suitable for long term stay

I was working remotely and was annoyed with the constant noise from the construction across the street, the noise was loud and very distracting. Also the sink faucet sprays water out where it wets everything around it and in front! There’s no coffee even for day 1, so bring your own!!

Nice property in a quiet location. Furnished nicely. Rooftop pool is nice but their are no umbrellas. Beach a few blocks away. Would stay again.

The location if this property is great - steps to 5th avenue for entertainment and dining and 5 minute walk to the beach. It's also just off 38th where there are several great dining options. This end of 5th is treed, quieter and less populated but filled with shops. The condo itself is spacious with good amenities. The deck is lovely with 2 large sliding doors and a wrap around patio. The bath and a half make for a private ensuite and facilities for guests. There's no view, laundry or additional amenities such as beach chairs or bikes. Unfortunately construction in the area is constant with some renovation noise next door continuing into the late evening. There is a safe, however it's inconsistent and results in valuables being inaccessible. The property manager was initially unresponsive to this issue but did answer after 48 hours and sent an associate to remedy the issue.

Okay place, terrible location

I’ve stayed in alot of properties in Mexico and worldwide. I have not stayed at a property in a long time that was as poorly stocked as this one. There is a fully functional kitchen with a blender and toaster but lacking in cooking utensils, and very simple amenities such as salt and pepper or coffee. There were no cleaning products at all, after cooking I cleaned up everything with dish soap. I didn’t like that there wasn’t a tv in the bedroom, and the one in the living room was so small and so far away from the couch. The couch is a white leather and it is heavily stained which made me not want to sit on it at all. Just very small cosmetic issues overall with the property. I didn’t like the check in process because everything was self serve I am used to having someone meet me and show me around and be there for me if I have any questions. I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the air conditioners for the life of me and someone came three days into my stay to show me. Overall this place is not cozy or homey but it was clean and just a basic apartment. I suppose I am used to more luxury, and this is not luxury. The worst issue I had was the location. Construction is in the area but it is not bothersome. It is the nightlife that is the issue. Every single day there was a beach rave from 4pm-1am going on and we had to deal with the constant thumping of the i incredibly loud music. It was hard to even focus while watching a movie let alone try to relax and sleep. I thought we were doing good by getting a place off of the Main Street but it was almost worse. I contacted the property manager about it but not much accommodation was offered. It was so bad I ended up cutting my trip short. I left a day and a half early and had to beg them to refund me for atleast one day. Who ever manages this condo has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in Mexico. I love Mexico but I willl not be returning to this city and definitely would not spend my money with this company/ property again.

Peaceful place near 5th

Overall good experience although I came down with Covid on my last days and they still made me check out which was absolutely inhumane. Other than that I liked the propert simple and good price and good location.

Nice, clean and convenient.

I’ve always stayed in resorts when in Playa del Carmen. Renting the condo was a wonderful experience and this one was close to popular 5th Ave but we also found some great restaurants off the beaten path. Some things you have learn while you are there, such as: it’s your responsibility to get the 20 Liter drinking water jug filled when it’s empty and where the nearest laundromat is located. Great location to beach and 5th ave

The location was great centrally located to the beach and 5th ave. Clean and bright open floor plan. Lacking in essential supplies like drinking water dispenser, salt and pepper, cleaning supplies, garbage bags etc. The shower head spray pattern was erratic and sprayed out the door if opened. Shower floor drain did not drain properly. Both bathroom taps sprayed all over. Patio chairs were uncomfortable. There was only one good pillow the others were thick and hard on the neck.
