"The room was great, really cozy and e perching you need. Tv had all the streaming services. Netflix, YouTube, prime etc stunning view over the much and down to scheihallion covered in snow. Only issue was the check in time which st 4pm is pretty late, I spoke to the lady in the next lodge to us who said they let her check in at 2. So we spent 2 hours up at the main hotel waiting. But other than that a very pleasant experience. Would definitely visit again in summer to make better use of the...

"A beautiful old country house that has been a hotel for many years. It is used by coaches so can be very busy. It needs some TLC. The carpet is worn in places and the paint is chipped. I arrived too early for check in (1pm) so walked into the village. I stayed 2 nights. I had dinner the first night and it was good value for the price. The staff in the dining room were attentive and professional. It’s a 30 minute drive to Inverness but has lovely gardens and is very quiet."

"We had the best time at The Westlands and hope we can come back soon. The hotel location is excellent. There tons of things to do within a 3 to 5 minute walk. You even have the entrance to a trail right across the street, if you want to run or ride a bike. The staff is lovely and very helpful. Rooms have been beautifully renovated recently and are quite spacious."

"Had a great stay here, all of the staff were super pleasant, efficient and well trained. Room and en suite toilet was very clean, as were all of the public areas. The breakfast - all options tried - was excellent, and I really appreciated the whisky porridge. Highly recommend the evening dining as well, couldn't fault anything."

McKays Hotel Bar & Restaurant

"We were made so welcome and reception carried our luggage to our room. There is a small car park at rear and you need to record your reg no in the hotel. Friday night's entertainment was an excellent group with amazing fiddler and drummer. Saturday and Sunday were different groups led by the same accordianist who was very good musically, however it was very tourist orientated and most tunes sounded similar. Bar/restaurant staff well managed and had an efficient system for ensuring customers were served quickly. Louise, Charlie, Shelby and Logan were particularly helpful. Another waiter/ manager (name forgotten) asked us if to move table which was no problem, however he insisted in offering a free drink. We had a lovely, nicely decorated, spacious, room overlooking Atholl Road. Some issues getting hot shower and with TV remote - staff helped. Breakfast was excellent and omelette on request. We ate dinner in restaurant twice and was delicious - cullen skink best my husband has tasted. Only negative was breakfast coffee machine - never hot enough and had to top it up with hot water."
