Atholl Palace Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this property. The room was very comfortable as was the king size bed, a rarity in Scotland! The Spa was amazing, as were the treatments (Lavender Lullaby for my wife and Swedish massage for me), the breakfasts amazing, the service was excellent and the property grounds were so beautiful. We highly recommend this property and found it to be reasonably priced for a 4 star property."

Craigroyston House & Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"I arrived in Pitlochry on the overnight sleeper train and the host of Craigroyston Lodge was kind enough to arrange for me to drop off my bag and have an additional breakfast in the early hours of the morning of my arrival date. The host was friendly and offered useful advice about my plans for the day. He seemed genuinely interested in all the guests. The room was a good size with comfortable bed (my fitness tracker recorded a 97% sleep score for that night, although that might have partly been because of the lack of sleep on the train!) and all amenities that I could want including coffee, biscuits, tissues, toiletries, etc. The property is handily located for the town centre and has many character features. The breakfast was good with cereal, juices, toast, preserves, and a hearty cooked option. One minor gripe is that the wifi was a little hit-and-miss. It was a pleasure to stay at Criagroyston Lodge."

"We stayed for two nights. The room was good but we noticed a moldy smell coming from the bed. The smell was coming be from the duvet or the mattress but could be the wall by the bed. Swimming pool lockers need upgrading , I couldn’t open the locker as the loch was so old . But the gym and marina was good and updated and modernized"
