Comfortable, clean, cozy cabin nestled in the woods of FDR state park. Backyard with enclosed doggy area slopes down directly to Pine Mountain hiking trail. Roomy master bedroom downstairs, upstairs queen bedroom with spacious bathroom and small outdoor balcony. Large front porch with swing; quaint back porch for viewing the beautiful sunsets.
Electric fireplace, park grill, pullout sofa, Keurig with K-cup pods provided as well as welcome drinks and basic spices.

Located eight miles from Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain and FDR’s Little White House in Warm Springs, GA. Mountain lookouts, picnic area and FDR State Park Pool are within 3 miles. Entertainment for the entire family available at Butts Mill Farm and Wild Life Safari and fish hatchery. Explore the surrounding areas to find Red Oak Creek Covered Bridge and Fitzgerald Fruit Farm (homemade ice cream- Yum!).
Wine tasting and blueberry farm also within 30 minutes drive.

We continue to return to this cabin on Pine Mountain every year. It is always clean and stocked with everything we need to make our stay like we were at home. The Host is always very accommodating and quickly responds to any request we might have, no matter how silly the request may be. The cabin is also pet friendly, so we can bring our fur baby with us. The fenced in back yard works perfect for us. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who might be interested.

From the moment we pulled up to the house, we knew how much we’d love it. A lovely little cabin with a loft master bedroom and bathroom. It even had a little deck outside. The second bedroom was roomy and cozy. A nice large deck in the back with a fenced in yard which was perfect for my Westie. Best nights sleep I’d had in a long while. Thank you so much for providing such a great home for us to stay in.

I loved this property because it was really clean and well stocked with everything you may need. The owners were really nice and attentive via text through Vrbo. The checkout was extremely easy with barely any additional tasks required. I will utilize this property again hopefully during Christmas!

Great cabin in a great location. I really enjoyed staying here. The only issue is it is difficult to see the property at night. There are no street lights so it can be difficult to tell that it is the correct property. Other than that the rooms are great, the property manager was friendly and I was overall very happy with the experience. I will definitely book this place again.Thanks, Chase Ritchey

7 great days!

The cabin was not as clean as it was last year. There were cob webs in several locations and the upstairs bath tube had sand in the bottom. The sheets would not stay on the upstairs bed, I guess the elastic was stretched out or the sheets were too small for the bed. The upstairs bedroom stayed HOT. Other than that the rest of the cabin was fine. We loved the convenience of the location. We really enjoyed riding the trail, visiting shops in Pine Mountain and Warm Springs. We drove to Fitzgerald’s several times for the home made ice cream, bought peaches and wine. We visited the Little White House and had amazing guides! The rocking chair porch at the cabin and Fitzgeralds were devine! We also enjoyed nature and saw several deer.

Cozy cabin

This cabin is always very clean and welcoming upon arrival. The host is first class in answering any questions or concerns we might have. We find this cabin to meet all of our needs, and then some. The location is perfect for golfing and hiking, and is pet friendly with a fenced in yard.

Enjoyed our short visit!

Cabin was cute, as described easy to get to and in a good location. There were 4 of us, we hated to cut visit short but had to, due to Hurricane Helene approaching FL and family with us is from there. Only negative is there were not enough linens in the kitchen or bathrooms but that's easily remedied. I usually take extras as that is the case most of the time but forgot this trip. We went to FDR's Little White House, the Red Oak Covered Bridge and Fitzgerald Farm on Monday as they are all on the same route. We enjoyed them all. Would recommend this cabin to family and friends.

Mountain Get Away

Sheppard’s Den provided a peaceful, relaxing place to return to each afternoon. It is conveniently located to Pine Mountain, Warm Spings, and Woodbury. We road our bikes on the trail nearly every day, visited the shops, ate, and enjoyed the ride to Woodbury for fresh peaches and tomatoes, just to name a few. We especially enjoyed Fitzgerald’s peach ice cream on the front porch.

Wonderful canin

Cabin is very nice and has everything you need except your food. It was very quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed ourselves, saw lots of attractions in the area, had a great time. The host was wonderful and quick to respond to any queries we had.

Warm Springs Cabin

This property is gorgeous. The cabin is very relaxing and quiet. It is close to several parks and museums. The owner stayed in communication all the way up to date of arrival. After a long day of flying and driving, it was nice to open the door to smooth jazz music, lights and fans on, and bottle of local wine. The cabin is well supplied and clean. We spent most evenings on the porch enjoying the peace of the forest. Thank you for a great stay!

Pretty place in the woods

Great location to explore the area! Close to the excitement of Calloway, great hiking, and the town of Pine mountain but remote enough to have some time in the woods. Sweet cabin for a family trip. We loved the area and the cabin. The firefly’s in the woods made it extra special. Perfect size for a few days with Mom. Thank you for sharing your space!

Nice cabin - good for traveling with pets

Fenced in yard is a definite bonus. It is mostly rock and shale but secure fencing so we could let the dogs run around. Cabin and beds very comfortable. Would definitely stay again

Cozy Cabin Getaway

The cabin was warm and welcoming upon arrival, and was very clean. The host answered all questions quickly and thoroughly. The cabin is centrally located to all the things we are interested in doing such as golfing and hiking.
