10/10
Sweet little quiet spot to give oneself time to settle and think. The dwelling is loft like living with large open first floor that includes a chef style kitchen, a bathroom with heated toilet seat (which was a plus as I stayed here in cold early winter days), large dining table and a small round antique table seating. A short flight upstairs to a 4 pillar king size bed that offers view 24 7 if you want to stay in bed. My favorite part is that it resembles a tiny farm house with amazing sealed brick floors and wood planks. I can image what it would be like to sit outside on a warm summer day to sip some locally grown wines which were a hit as Christmas gifts. I got the opportunity to see the morning fog lifting. You get views from all three side of the house facing the rolling hills and far away mountain scape. (I only gave the listing description a 4 stars because it did not do justice to reflect more of its architecture and landscaping.)I was also greeted on Day 2 and onward by the property cat, Sammy. He has the sweetest personality. I was able to pet and pick him up. He was a wonderful distraction. The owner is courteous and very helpful. The wine tasting at the Yurt is unbelievable. The ciders are amazing and the Black Currant taste nourishing. The place also offer local cooking from farm fresh ingredients, low key and more my speed. I am a big fan of the Virginia mountains, this place is postcard or Instagram perfect.
