Our stay at Holhen On

The house was nice, but it needed updates to it's appliances and furniture. The downstair bedroom bed was very oncomfortable, we also found a dead roarch in the front upstairs bedroom. The window sills were filthy and the kitchen window was full of cobwebs. There was two coffee makers, but one was broken. Pictures of yard were very deceiving. There was no back yard and hardly any space for the dogs to run. This place was Ok for a three to four day stay, put not for a week or more.

Great vacation cabin

We needed a vacation home that was comfortable and pet friendly. Clean, convenient to everything in the area but in a quiet neighborhood. If there’s a negative it’s that the den furniture shows some wear but everything else was perfect. The place exceeded our expectations and we’d book again tomorrow.

Long weekend getaway

Perfect for a quick, impromptu getaway! Cabin is in a residential neighborhood, so don’t expect mountain views or privacy.

Big Black Bear

Although the cabin was in the back of a subdivision, don’t let that fool you. Had a big black bear come walking down the driveway with a couple of us on the porch. After raiding the garbage can he walked away with his prize. The cabin itself needs some tlc but it is still a nice clean cabin The kitchen was not stocked well, which I reported and they are suppose to look into restoring the lack of pans and utensils. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms, one has a window unit a/c and the other one has a fan, which doesn’t help much. Nice size washer and dryer really helped when needed. The beds slept well.

Would not stay at cabins for you again.

I had to call everyday for someone tell me what was going on with my hot tub. I booked this cabin specifically for the hot tub and it was broke half the time. Only fit two people comfortable. Have to fight for a partial refund. (Probably won't get it) Cabin needs some work. Pictures are from when it was first built. Location is the only thing good about this cabin. Maintenance came out and entered without telling me when I was supposed to be contacted. The ceiling in the kitchen started leaking on the last full day there. Bring own toilet paper you only get two rolls.

This cabinet was all about location, location. Less than 1 minute from the main strip. You may not have the sweeping mountain views you get with some of the more distant locations, but the location is unbeatable. The cabin was nice, as were the grounds. We would definitely book this again.

Cabin was fine but needs a little work

The cabin itself was nice but needs some small improvements. The yard had clearly not been mowed for awhile and the landscaping was overrun by weeds making the property look unappealing from the start. Other little things in the cabin could make a big improvement - mini blinds broken, countertop missing end piece, all darts with broken tips. For the price, you expect just a little bit more.

Great find

Nice little cabin but it’s not in the woods. Its close to the strip and in a neighborhood. It’s super clean and pet friendly. We loved it.

Absolutely terrible cabin

If I could leave no stars I would. We stayed here for a week this past week. Pulling up to the cabin it’s in a complete residential area. Not a very nice area either. Dogs constantly barking outside. There was trash all in the yard, bushes completely overgrown, random axe head in the backyard. Had little kids with us running around and it could’ve been bad. Hole right as soon as you walk up the stairs in the deck. Walking into the cabin the smell was so musty and smelled like mildew/mold. The front door knob fell off within 20 min of arriving. Had to wait over 24 hours for that to even be repaired. All the blinds were broken. The chandelier was broken above the dining room table and had been glued back together. Decorations looked like they had just been thrown together in there. Cobwebs hanging from all the light fixtures. Furniture all looked like it came from goodwill from the 80’s just thrown together in there. Stairs were very dangerous, each tread on the steps were uneven making it a hazard. We had to put sheets on the furniture because it looked dirty. Huge brown stains on the mattresses. When you showered upstairs it leaked down in the kitchen, we had to put a bucket down when someone would shower. Upstairs bathroom cabinet didn’t even have a bottom piece to it everything just sat on the floor in the cabinet. There was hair in the showers. Mold on the back of the door & the floor in the bathroom downstairs. There was also a previous leak on top of the fridge. The whole end of the kitchen counter was missing by the microwave, there was a sharp spot on it that had packing tape on it. The piece that was missing we found in the drawer. The ac unit upstairs in the bedroom was not even secure. Small children could fit through that! There was random stuff hanging from the loft down into the living room. There was no broom, vacuum cleaner didn’t work & the mops looked like they hadn’t been replaced in over a year. We went to Walmart & spent $100 on cleaning products & cleaned ourselves to make it smell better in there. They told us they would send maintenance out, they never came out we had to call again said it would be 2-4 hours no one ever showed up still, called again finally someone came out for the shower they said it was the shower curtain but still leaked the rest of the week. They would not refund us anything. The only thing they could offer for us paying as much as we did for the week was a credit that had to be used within 12 months.

Cabin had issues/bad communication

The only saving grace with this cabin is that is was very clean. Thumbs up for that. The bad.... Bad communication: 1. I sent a question through message to Cabins for you before booking and never heard back from them - even now 2. They text me on the day of check-in asking if I received the directions/door code. I responded and told them we had not. I had to call and get the information from them several hours later. So many issues with the cabin: 1: Fireplace and WiFi were not working. They came out the next day and fixed both. Quick service there. 2. The second floor bathtub leaked down to the kitchen floor. This was mentioned on the same call as the WiFi and fireplace but it was not fixed. 3. The kitchen sink leaked onto the floor. 4. The hot tub is on the front porch with no privacy. Nice hot tub/bad location. 5. Several items were broken (blinds, lazy Susan cabinet door missing, dresser drawers missing knobs, etc.). Nothing crazy terrible, but attention to detail taking care of your cabin goes a long way.
