The cottage is ideally placed for enjoying the activities around Ullswater, 4 miles, where excellent walking and cycling amidst splendid scenery can be enjoyed. If you enjoy a picnic, why not pack a rug and goodies and explore the numerous beaches around Ullswater, perfect to relax on and rejuvenate from busy lives. A 15-minute drive from the cottage is Haweswater, where you can walk up to the tranquil Small Water for a picnic and paddle.

To make the most of the spectacular scenery take a cruise on the Ullswater steamers, which sail throughout the year. Watersports are also close by with rowing boats and kayaks. If you’re looking to explore Penrith which is known as the ’gateway of the Northern Lakes’ and the doorstep to the Eden Valley, this local market town certainly won’t disappoint.
