「Our room was phenomenal. So clean, amazing views, totally private. This was such a romantic place to stay, with excellent staff. Be sure to have a drink at the bar for San Lucas, even if you don't do the entire dining experience. 」

「Our family had a great time at Relax House - the neighborhood is very quiet and an easy 15-minute drive into town. Our host communicated with us in advance to prepare the best sleeping arrangements for our kids and gave thorough instruction via WhatsApp on property access and amenities, though I wish we hadn’t arrived after dark, as it made it a bit trickier to find the home (but that’s on us). And the hot tub was SUCH a nice perk!」

「Our Green Treasure House stay was great! The grounds, the outdoor living space and the pool were beautiful. The house itself was pretty basic but the beds were comfortable and the cabin was very clean. There was no need to spend time in the house because the outdoor space was so inviting. We felt very secure as the property was fenced and gated. It did require a taxi or Uber to go anywhere. We loved the property and would highly recommend it.」

「The cabin was in a pretty location on the side of a small lake — but the location doesn't match that on VRBO which states it's in La Fortuna town. It's actually several miles out of town, which was a problem for us since we didn't have a rental car and there's no public transport serving the area. 「The owners were lovely and gave us a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom cabin which was ideal for us with 2 young children. It had a well equipt kitchen. We did have a few ants coming in but when we told the owner they came down to spray the cabin. Great having a pool at the property for unwinding after a busy day in nature. The town was a 5 minute drive and it was really easy and cheap to get taxis there. Would definitely recommend staying here.」

It was amazing to have coffee in morning and watch clouds roll through valley and listen to birdsong. The location is convenient for getting to Fortuna and nearby parks for hiking, but Castillo feels much more quaint and quiet for enjoying peaceful evenings.
