Peaceful and charming. Can’t wait to visit again this winter. Owners are very communicative and transparent with no hidden fees or expectations. I was obliged to treat it as I would my own home.

We had a great stay in a great house. The host was great and was there for us if we had questions. We had elk in the front yard both mornings, and the extras were well thought out by the host.

Payson Trip

We had a very enjoyable stay at Hidden Trails Retreat. The home was very thoughtfully stocked with many items that you don’t often see in VRBO rentals. Very clean as other reviewers have mentioned. Our dog loved spending time in the backyard and the neighborhood was residential with friendly neighbors and we felt very comfortable going out for walks. Close to shopping. Jon and Sharon are wonderful hosts.

Came up from the valley to get away from the heat. This home was so nice and comfortable. We really enjoyed our time here. No one was wanting to go home. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for sharing your home.

Enjoyed it!

While this was great for just 2 people this house would also be great for families and larger groups. Very well stocked with games, puzzles, books, hiking picnicking and cookout gear etc. Nice quiet residential neighborhood yet close to shops and restaurants.Great communication with the owners.

Great Stay!!

We had an amazing time and couldnt have asked for better accomodations. Great location, quite neighhorhood, and close to everythjng Payson has to offer. As a bonus, the backyard was very enjoyable and our digs absolutely loved it. The fact that everything in the hone was useable was a huge plus too. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be returning if were ever in the area again.

My husband and I enjoyed our 2 week visit - looking for a getaway from a very hot Tucson! The home is in a lovely residential section, close to shopping, the public library, beautiful Green Valley Lake with hiking trails and tours of an extremely well done Rim County Museum and Zane Grey cabin, and short drive to Tonto Natural Bridge State Park. The home is clean and well supplied for cooking your own meals. The owners are excellent at communicating prior to arriving, during the stay with information about local events, and upon leaving.

Wonderful House

My husband and son in law work the rodeo every year so my daughter, grandson and myself came up too. I instantly loved the porch!! I spent most of my time with my grandson there. The house was very cozy, clean and had everything that we needed. Jon was quick to respond when we had questions. We appreciated the welcoming basket and the fudge! The beds were comfortable and all appliances/electronics that we used worked perfectly. I highly recommend this house and would stay there again.

Payson AZ stay

Me and my wife loved the location of this property it was close to hiking trails and the city. The property was very clean and organized. Nice fenced in area for our dog.

This place is spectacular!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Very beautiful house and yard. They have so much to offer for adults and kids. Fully stocked with more than you could ever need. We enjoyed just looking around at all the books and Knick knacks. The hosts were so generous and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you Jon and Sharon.

Great Place for Work and Relaxing

My husband and I were in town visiting my mom who lives nearby. We needed a place where we could do some work and relax when we weren't visiting with family. This place fit the bill and more! Everything was lovely and the welcome basket a special treat! We will definitely stay again when in the area.

Gorgeous Property

What an amazing stay! The owners literally thought of everything. The house is comfortable, sparkling clean, and so safe. The beds are so comfortable! Entertainment options are many in this fantastic get away. It really is a gem!

Great family and pet getaway!

My family and I were looking for a pet friendly place with personality and privacy in a peaceful setting. We found this place and just fell in love the moment we walked in! The hosts left us a goodie basket on the counter and treats in the fridge as well. The home was immaculate, and the welcome book even had a scavenger hunt in it that our kids immediately took on while the adults settled in. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and there was plenty of space for us and the doggies to spread out, along with a ton of games to play together which we loved! We painted rocks and left them in the backyard with some of the others that have been done by other previous guests as well. We brought our doggies along (we had one service dog amongst the bunch) and they loved the backyard where they were able to run and play in the cool weather. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had very little that we needed to purchase while we were there as far as condiments, spices, etc. It is about 5 minutes away from grocery stores, and there's a phenomenal little fudge store nearby too. We were actually bummed to have to head home, but are looking forward to staying again in the future! If I had to make any suggestions to the hosts, it's to possibly see if you can increase the water pressure in the master bath shower. We used it once but it was really low (I'm 5'7 and it was almost touching my head) and I struggled to wash my hair very well.

Special Christmas celebration

He had three Christmas trees and stockings hung by the fireplace with goodies. My family lives in Payson and strawberry and we live in Tucson. they would come over to Jon's place that we rented. It was a wonderful loving time.

Pleasant get away

Hidden Trails Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay and the Hidden Trails Retreat in Payson. It was a lovely home, very clean, well stocked, nicely decorated in a quiet neighborhood near town and the hiking trails that we love. The hosts were great, very informative, pleasant to deal with, and thoughtful making us feel welcome. We definitely recommend this vacation home and hope to stay there again in the future.

Payson adventure

House is centrally located for exploring Payson, Pine and Strawberry. House is very comfortable, was decorated for Halloween, giving you a feeling that you’re staying at a family member homestead not a VRBO plus is stocked to the Hilt with supplies for cooking, making sundaes and goodies baskets for humans & doggies. The backyard is beautifully decorated, great place to relax and enjoy the fresh air. Hosts are exceptional and should be cloned!! They are wonderful individuals.
