「Cabins are rustic, spacious and very lovely. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Food was very good, especially the chicken springrolls. I didn’t use the pool but people I was with did and they loved it. It’s a great place to get away from it all. Bring a book or two! The last few km of road to get there is terrible so plan on one trip in and one trip out when you leave. 」

「コロンボ郊外マウントラビニアにある、この地を代表する”マウント・ラビニア・ホテル”” 本当はこのホテルに泊まるつもりではありませんでしたが、エクスペディアで元々予約していた宿に予約が入っておらず、急遽変更しました。 結果は正解。ただし予算はかなりのオーバーでした。 海岸沿いに少し突き出た岬に白亜にそびえ立つ歴史深い建物、70年以上経過しているがメンテナンスが施されており、設備は申し分ありません。 エアコンは古く調節がいまいちですが、窓を開ければ爽やかな風が入ってきます。 電気式蚊取り線香が常備されているのはケアが必要な証拠。 各部屋オーシャンビュー、正面にコロンボの高層ビルが見える絶好のロケーション。 朝食のバイキングはプールサイドから繋がるオープンで広いメインレストランで。 スリランカ料理はもちろん、インド、コンチネンタル、チャイニーズとバラエティ豊富です。もちろん豊富な果物も。 」

「We had a very comfortable stay at the hotel. The staff, Alex, was particularly very considerate. The hotel even provided us with complimentary breakfast on the first day since they felt that we came early in the morning and might not be able to go out for breakfast in time. Really nice of them! The place had a very large living space with a well-stocked kitchen and utensils. Will definitely recommend this place. 「This property is designed to take care of your every need. You have a personal butler who you work with for everything—dining, outside excursions, a drink by the pool—and they do an excellent job. Our butler was Menuka and he was wonderful, helpful, and kind. We stayed on the property for the most part and chose to do all of our meals there because we liked the food and the convenience. It is a very small property and quiet so if you are really interested in disconnecting, this is a good choice....
