Take it easy at this Ochockonee bay-waterfront cottage getaway. Sits on a beautiful 1/2 acre wooded lot with old Florida charm. This home has been updated and has a very cozy interior. Do some fishing with 100ft of saltwater or just put your toes in the sand on your own beach in the backyard. Relax with those that matter the most. Boat ramp 5 mins away. There is room to park your boat or RV. Amazing sunsets from the porch over the water is a must see. 10mins to bald point Beach for best sunrise you can ask for.

Relaxing stay

Perfect getaway for Thanksgiving

We loved this little cottage for Thanksgiving....peaceful and quiet alternating with having family visit for meals. Close to a beach for nice long walks.

Great little spot

As our first time in Florida, this was the best place to stay. The home being right on the beach was perfect. It was so beautiful, the house stayed cool and had everything we needed for our stay. The screened in porch with a big yard was great for our kids and dog! The hosts were easy to communicate with. We had the best time !

Great little getaway!

Beautiful Bay View

We were able to relax and enjoy the view, bird life and the local restaurants. Very convenient to many parks and we took advantage of the parks. Food shopping was 20 min. away, not much night life, but great fresh seafood and the beaches just great. The house was comfortable and the sunsets were often a TEN.

Fishing trip

This place was exceptionally well stocked and had absolutely everything one would need right down to the loaded ice trays! We spent a weekend here fishing and I cannot recommend this enough for anyone wanting a relaxing beautiful stay!

Perfect!

Absolutely enjoyed our stay! We were able to check in early, which was such a nice surprise. Walking distance to Angelos seafood restaurant. The house is also dog friendly. Loved our own private beach. Will stay here again. Highly recommend!

An Amazing Place

The home was beautiful, came outfitted with everything you could possibly need including fishing poles, coolers, toys, lawn chairs, even extra toilet paper (post COVID, that's a big deal). The owner/manager Agnes was a delight to work with, and we will definitely be headed back.

Nice and quiet

The cottage was just as advertised. The owner was very quick to respond to questions. Great local restaurants but a bit of a drive to get groceries. We were able to park our RV in the long driveway, and our pups loved the big yard. Lots of birds to watch and even had a dolphin swim by. The sunsets were incredible! Thanks for a nice couple of weeks.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. It was exactly as advertised, quiet and convenient to the things we wanted to do. The highlight of our trip was Wakulla Springs boat ride. This is something everyone needs to experience.

Great Hideaway!

As the name of the house suggest, this is a great little hideaway. Definitely in a non touristy area, great for fishing and relaxing, close enough to secluded beaches, and bigger towns to have a nice day out of the house. The home is clean and has all the amenities you need. Perfect for fur babies! Communication with the host was so smooth, even during a hurricane. Highly reccomend if youre looking to stay in the area.

Weekend Getaway

I booked this home for a quick weekend getaway for my birthday. I wanted something on the water but not packed with tourists. The waterfront view coupled with the large screened-in porch was very nice. The house was as listed and had everything we needed for the stay. It is in close proximity (walking distance) to several of the local restaurants and a store. There were many species of song and water birds on the property and the bonus to the weekend was seeing a leucistic (white) squirrel in the front yard. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for quiet seclusion.

Stay in Panacea

On a road trip along the Florida gulf coast. We decided to take a break from hotels, and we book a couple of days at Hideaway Beach Cottage. It did not disappoint. The cottage was kept very clean and stocked with essentials. Sunsets were spectacular over the bay, and a day trip to Appalachicola really showcased the beauty of the area.

Peace of heaven

This little cottage was absolutely perfect!! We stayed for the Labor Day weekend. Our 7 and 12 year olds really enjoyed being waterfront. They were able to play while we cooked & just sat on the back porch to relax. There is a great walking path along side the road too. Perfect for our children to ride their bike & rollerblades. Definitely recommend this little cottage!

Peace & Tranquility

This cottage was immaculately clean, open, fresh and airy. The property was also neat and tidy. The view was amazing and we spent alot of our time just relaxing by the water and enjoying the breeze. The sunsets were beautiful too! We are Jeepers so we really had fun enjoying the local area with the tops off and riding throught hte coastal areas and forests. There are some delicious restaurants near by. We will definitely visit again when we need a quiet relaxing break from the daily grind. This place is so cute, comfy and relaxing and the hosts were wonderful.

Nice little cottage

The cottage was very clean and well appointed. It's set up great for dogs, unfortunately we were not able to bring our dog. It does not have an ice maker nor dishwasher so just be aware in the event that's an issue for you. The bedroom was a little quirky but we were able to make it work for us. Overall loved the place and the location.
