Property shows its age so if you are expecting a shiny, Canadian standard room you would be disappointed. That said, the location is excellent right across from a huge shopping mall and everything in the city centre is very close and easy to walk. The breakfast is also outstanding. Expensive, but what isn’t in the UK these days.

Not a very clean place. Main floor, right beside the lifts had a strong smell of rubbish. The bed in our room was horrible. You could hear the bed springs with every single move of your muscles and it wasn’t comfortable at all. Had two nightmarish nights to sleep to this place and will never go back. The staff were a bit non-existent but very friendly when seen!

Everything was excellent. Julie was so helpful in so many ways from storing our luggage until the 3pm check in time, to getting extra pillows and refreshed linens. The breakfast was wonderful with so many choices, even vegan sausage. Ancila was so friendly and made us feel special, making the vegan sausage especially for us and even bringing it out to the table - above and beyond. The whole staff was helpful, energetic and caring. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had the all important refrigerator, coffee pot, and iron. It would have been nice to have a few more bathroom amenities like a shower cap, shampoo and conditioner. The location was ideal, right next the mall in city centre, making it accessible to many things. The only request i have is to be more flexible with the check in time, if the room is ready, there is no need to nickle and dime and charge to check in 1 hr early. Also, when we checked out, we were told there was no room to hold our luggage, which was quite inconvenient. However, we were offered to keep our bags in the restaurant area (at our own risk) which was closed so we felt quite safe with this option. We appreciated the option to do so. I also wanted to comment that the decor was wonderful, the purple LED lights really made my stay that much more enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again happily.

Everything was excellent. Julie was so helpful, she stored our luggage until the 3pm check in time, and got us extra pillows and refreshed linens (some of the linen was not quite clean). The breakfast was wonderful with so many choices. Ancila was so friendly and made us feel special, making vegan sausage especially for us and even bringing it out to the table - above and beyond. The whole staff was helpful, energetic and caring. The room was clean, comfortable and had a pull out trundle twin so 3 of us could have our own beds. It was a little tight with the trundle pulled out, but it was very comfortable. I wish it had a refrigerator, iron, a shower cap, shampoo and conditioner. The location was ideal, right next the mall in city centre, making it accessible to many things. The only request i have is to be more flexible with the check in time, if the room is ready, there is no need to charge to check in 1 hr early. Overall, it was quite nice. Two nit-picks: the AC shut itself in the middle of the night both nights causing us to wake up sweating. Also, the bathroom tissue was quite stingy and rough. But the staff were all lovely, and the location was wonderful.

The location was great and the staff were super friendly and nice. However, the actual accommodations were severely disappointing. We had a "family room" which was actually a very tiny room that consisted of one double bed, one sofa bed, and one rollaway bed. There was absolutely no room to get around and only one chair! Four people and we had nowhere to sit, except on the beds l, which we didn't want to do when we were dirty from walking around all day. We ended up sitting in the floor several afternoons and evenings while taking a break from sight seeing. You have to ask for clean towels or room cleaning. We did ask for new towels at some point but decided against the room cleaning since there was just no space to get around with our luggage and the beds. There was also no mini fridge, which would have been very handy for a long stay as we had (4 nights). The worst if all was the internet connection. It was so bad that my laptop couldn't even load google or open up outlook. We had to go to a nearby coffee shop just to be able to check email properly. I expect more from a hotel in 2025. Sure, they tell you that you can pay five extra pounds for "ultimate" internet, but you shouldn't have to, just for basic online needs!
