「Love the place and especially the baths. We have stayed twice -once in a deluxe room and once in a junior suite (Taittinger). Whilst spacious, lovely bath and comfy bed - it was noisy and light which was disappointing and didn't make for a great night's sleep」

「We had a fantastic stay at Dakota Newcastle. The rooms were beautiful, stylish and extremely comfortable, and the staff were so attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. Both dinner and breakfast were amazing with excellent food and great service. Everything felt really high quality and well thought out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Dakota Newcastle. We’ll absolutely be back!」

「I have stayed various hotels in Newcastle, but the Malmaison was one of the best hotel in the city. I recommend to all who is visiting Newcastle.」

「Overall the hotel room was clean and did the job but the room was very tired. Furniture was damaged and stained. Facilities in the main reception again was basic but provided all we needed. Think they could maybe have more staff in the hospitality areas and the breakfast was not the best we have had. But overall for the price it was satisfactory.」

「Well situated to train station, Eldon Square shopping centre, Grainger Market, Bigg Market’s bars and some nice restaurants a few minutes walk away. Room was decent although paint was peeling off the bathroom wall and some mould in the shower, so definitely needs a room refresh.」

「Room was clean, spacious and the bed was massive and comfortable. Paid £10 for secure onsite parking but had to ask security several times in the evening to put the barriers down! Breakfast was just okay. Food was tasty but lukewarm. Overall a great budget stay and would stay again.」

「We really enjoyed our stay, the rooms were refurbished and very clean. Staff were lovely and helpful and location was spot on, The Life Centre and the train station are minutes away!」
