The environment and the staff was very good. The food was amazing and every day there was a different selection of food for breakfast. The staff was also very accommodating and kind.
The breakfast was delicious and had a lot of traditional items. I enjoyed it all. I will say that if you are looking for a chain hotel to go to, I would recommend Toyoko. This was my first time in Japan, and if I had known that Toyoko is in majority of the cities we visited, I would have booked with them everywhere. I could spot a Toyoko in all of the major areas we were, so if you are looking for walkability and consistently good service this is the right hotel chain
This was a great bolthole for our time in Osaka & area. Hotel was clean, room is decent enough size for a Japanese hotel, staff kind and helpful. Free breakfast was nice but limited vegetarian options (as expected).
The staff were amazing, kind, and super nice! They always greeted me when I came back into the hotel and when I left the hotel. If I had any questions, they were always happy to answer them. The room was spotless and the perfect size for me. I will definitely be staying there again!
Our family of 4 stayed for two nights. Friendly staff, clean room, good breakfast and conveniently located close to a train station. Will stay here again.
I highly recommend this hotel. Great location, attentive and friendly staff, comfortable and super clean room. Several cafes and convenience stores nearby. 10 out of 10
We stayed here after arriving in Japan with a toddler.
It was perfect layover stop before leaving Osaka
Quiet, clean, central, nice breakfast, no noisy or cold air vents, self controlled air con, bath, mini fridge and kettle.
Area around felt safe, clean, central to subway and shops.
Had a great stay here. Perfect location for all the sights. The room was bigger than usual with a comfy bed and a well equipped bathroom. Everyone was really helpful. Breakfast had a great choice. Laundry was quick and easy. Everything perfect. Thank you.
We had an issue wherein I booked a deluxe twin room, 2 adults, 2 kids, but I have 3 kids, and the youngest is 6. I have to state the correct number of people in my booking since the youngest had to be charged as well. I didn't know that since ive read in their policy that 6 and younger are free to stay. Might have been my fault for not understanding it fully.
Anyway, the hotel has a prime location. one stop from Umeda station. there's a train going straight to Kyoto station from Yodoyabashi station which is very ideal if you're going on a day trip to Kyoto. The tv works well if you want to watch YouTube. It'll let you stream. Clean and typical size for a Japanese hotel room. Pillows are a bit hard though but it's ok. Breakfast food is excellent and free coffee on the hotel lobby anytime you want.
I decided to treat myself after two weeks of solo travelling and stay in a proper hotel where there was an excellent bath for me to relax and free breakfast in the morning- what is not to love.
Everywhere was clean and easy to use, life was fast so I could get to my room and relax sooner after a long day out.
I rated this down on service due to the robots be used at checkin as it would have been nice and quicker for a human to do this- they ended up having a human guide me to ensure I entered all the legal elements correctly, why not remove the automated check In And use old fashioned humans.
They were not robots just automated machines.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Property was clean. Rooms are clean but sub par in terms of space. Booked a room for 3 adults and 2 children only to be told be front desk that the child bed/sofa is too small for the age of my kids. I trusted that Expedia identified the room capacity based on the children ages I provided. Staff did not speak much English and refused to give me the room I reserved and insisted I had to pay for an additional room. After much pushback they finally gave in. The sofa bed was sufficient to accommodate my youngest child. Check in time took more than 1 hour and lady at front desk even refused to give me an extra bath towel continuing to insist room was only for 4 (we were party of 5) until I just told her some of the towels were dirty and needed replacing. Very non customer focused and too stringent on hotel rules. To top it off the exit stair doors were all locked and thank god we didn’t have to evacuate. Only stayed 1 night and will avoid this hotel chain going forward. Breakfast was also sub par compared to other hotels in Japan.
It is my third time staying in Toyoko Inn hotel (other city in Japan). Yodoyabashi stn is located at business district but it is very convenient and hotel also quite busy. I like the breakfast spread, quite a good varieties of food and is delicious. During our time in Osaka we also make a trip to Tokyo and stay in Toyoko Inn Asakusa K 2 if I will be to compare the breakfast spread are limited but luckily to the room size for 2 single beds it still give us good moving space to pack and unpack our luggage. Overall value for money. Thank you.
Everything was amazing - more details on my lower scores : for foreigners the drinks options felt limited, and only 3 stars for eco score as everything came wrapped in plastic
