The cabin and surrounding area were so peaceful and serene! You could see the water right from the cabin windows or covered porch.
Hosts, Jennifer and Mark, live next door if you need anything, but there is plenty of space between the cabin and their home so you don't feel like you're invading their personal space. They were both amazing and gave us some tips on local restaurants, even telling us about a local fireworks show that we could see from the private dock on Saturday evening!
Being right next to the lake, with just a short path down to the private dock, made it easy to go to the water any time to kayak or paddle boat (both provided, but byo life-vest), or to just lay on the floating mat/lily pad (also provided) and swim in the water. A fire-pit with kindling and roasting sticks were all right there and made it easy to enjoy a campfire without a lot of extra effort. They have a water spigot/hose set up right by the fire-pit so you can put out any embers prior to heading back up to the cabin.
The cabin had everything we needed (basic amenities and several extras like a dishwasher, washer/dryer, ice maker, lighter fluid, can koozies so your bottle floats if dropped off the deck, etc.).
We like that there were two separate bedrooms so we each had our own space, one queen bed (smaller room, not as much floor space) and one king bed (tv, more floor space). Lots of space in the living room/kitchen area to spread out!
We would definitely stay again!
