"While this stay lacks in the polished stays of a fancy resort it makes up ten-fold in charm and personality. This was the coziest most wonderful stay we've had on our trip yet and we'll definitely be back. Located a mere 4 minute walk from the train station and a 1 minute from the beach this was the low key break we needed. The stay was clean with great amenities. "The view of Mt. Fuji from our balcony was amazing each morning and was the highlight of our vacation. Pros: The private onsen, sauna, size of unit, 2 toilets, 2 showers, quiet location (on Lake Ashi) across from 7-eleven and where Pirate ship would dock, bathroom amenities provided, kitchen with tools to cook. Cons: can’t pinpoint but smell of rooms were musty especially when AC was turned off. A lot of dust around and sofa in one area was stained and should be cleaned; Difficulty with washing machine. It doesn’t dry fully so hang your clothes overnight. Otherwise, location and view was breathtaking."

"This was our decompress detour after Tokyo and it was just that! Room was very comfortable for a traditional Japanese room and the private onsen was the perfect addition. Breakfast and dinner are included and although they were also very traditional and farm-to-table, they weren’t my personal cup of tea but that just may be preference."

"A real luxury stay in the mountains of Odawara. Best part of our 14 day trip to Japan so far. The breakfast buffé and the dinner buffé was great, not excellent but compared to other Japaneese hotels I stayed in on other trips this one beats them all. The Onsen and the pool area was also a really nice plus. The hotel rents out swimshirts if your travelcompanion have tattoos, costs 1100 Yen."

"Suite with bunk beds was great, although room wasn’t super clean. Bathroom sink had layer of grime and visible debris on carpets, couch had a rip in fabric (was difficult to report this to hotel). Nice balcony with room, rooftop terrace was beautiful, onsen great! Check in was a bit limited. You need to add your passport info the day before/prior to arrival, get QR code and code for door. Then on arrival, use iPad scan QR code to talk remotely to a person to verify your id. That seemed to only be available from 3-10pm, so don’t arrive too late. Free drinks, snacks, soft serve icecream between 5-9pm (my kids loved)! Not a ton of restaurants near hotel but did have a family mart across the street. "
