This Ocracoke Island vacation home is a perfect choice for two couples or a small family. Bring your pets with you, and enjoy being off the beaten path yet conveniently located close to restaurants and shops. Begin your day with a short stroll to Ocracoke Coffee Co. Happy Place has a spacious open floor plan combining the living, dining area, and kitchen. Treat yourself by relaxing in the wonderful claw foot tub!

The second floor sleeping area also offers the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the den.

Whether reading a good book or enjoying time visiting with family, the spacious screened front porch and open back deck offer comfortable spots for all! The fenced side and rear yard are an added convenience and easily accessible from the kitchen door.

1 bedroom and 2 Sleeping Areas, 2 Baths: First floor bedroom with King and bath with clawfoot tub. The second floor is separated into two sleeping areas. One side has a king bed and the other side has two twins. There is no door to close off the upstairs.

Amenities include central air conditioning/heat, ceiling fans, complimentary wireless internet access, 2 cable TVs, one in the living room and one in the upstairs den. Washer and dryer.

The exterior offers a spacious, furnished screened porch, hot/cold outdoor shower, gas grill, and fenced side/rear yard with sundeck.

*Sheets and towels provided, beds made for your arrival

Short Stays are available; there is a three-night minimum, and these stays can be booked within two weeks of arrival.

No Smoking. Pet Friendly. Limit of 2 Pets. Parking is limited to 2 cars.

Property Layout:

First Floor: Open kitchen, dining and living area with TV. Primary Bedroom with king bed and Primary Bathroom with Clawfoot Tub. Bathroom with shower. Laundry Closet.

Second Floor: Loft style sleeping area with King bed on one side and two Twin beds on the other side. TV in attached den.

Well equipped beach house

The home is old, but solidly built and very loved. It had everything that we needed. My family of 4 and 2 big dogs had a great stay. Great location, very private. We rented bikes and rode everywhere. The food on the island is way expensive and choices are limited, so we brought groceries from home and prepared almost all of our meals in the well equipped kitchen. There was a tropical storm that hit rhe island during our stay, but we felt very safe in the house. We love the island and the house and would definitely stay here again.

Underwhelmed but grateful

Happy to be on the island but the property was very underwhelming. Grateful for a fenced yard for our dog, but it was in very bad need of maintenance. Weeds everywhere and miscellaneous items scattered about. It could be a fantastic spot with some care. The beds were very uncomfortable. The kitchen is so small you cannot really prepare food very well. Not a great space for a family gathering. With some care and attention the house has potential. Would not rent again.

From the pictures in the listing I thought the interior looked dated. After staying there (and reading a blog by the previous owner) it’s clear they purposefully chose the dark wood walls and floors. Definitely has a cabin feel. The loft upstairs is huge. I hope the owner will add a bathroom upstairs and fix the ac up there. The kitchen is small but has lots of pots, pans, dishes and utensils. The screened porch was great! Big rockers and pillows on the swing. We really enjoyed this. The big soaking bathtub was so relaxing! The fully fenced yard was wonderful for my dog and the backyard itself has walkways and decks throughout. For a family of 4 plus a 3 month old baby and dogs, we had enough space to spread out and enjoy ourselves.

Great place

I read reviews that won’t great but, it turned out good there was a crock-pot, and coffee maker. All of this was great we were there for the pirate parade and it was fun kids had a great time. Not super fancy but perfect for our little family. Thank you for a great stay.
