We had a great stay at The Flat. It was clean and cozy and was a great location to spend the weekend at the Gorge. The only negative was how much you could hear the unit above in the bedroom of the flat.

Clean, roomy for 2 people full size fridge, washer and dryer close to many activities. Very close to the road.
Clean and fresh option close to New River Gorge sites. Easy check-in, well- appointed place. It is close to the road so there's some vehicle noise, but it seemed to be priced very competitively.
The Flat on Main was the perfect location for our visit to New River Gorge. It was centrally located to the various areas of the National Park. It was also close to a variety of places to eat and shop .
We had plenty of room to relax.

Its very nice would be more nicer if sound of car passing by at night… but totally great very convenient to the state park and everything is near by for all u need …
The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Would suggest bringing your own pillows if you are picky. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
This apartment was the perfect base camp for a couple visiting the National Park. It had everything we would need. The kitchen was a good size and very functional. The bedroom was comfy and there’s a nice living room area to relax. The only issue was that we only had one night to stay in the area. Would definitely book here again for a longer visit.
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Flat on Main for our trip to West Virginia. It is super close to New River Gorge National Park, Fayetteville, and many hiking trails. Our host, Harry, was very responsive and accommodating - our check-in process was seamless. We are planning to go back to WV in the Fall and will stay at the same place again!
Overall an excellent stay, very clean, decently supplied. Excellent location in the middle of a bunch of the north hiking areas. Close to grocery and gas. We were happy to have a close outdoor plug so we could charge our PHEV. Would definitely stay here again if we get back to this area.
The property was very nice and well kept. It was clean and the host was very responsive to emails and the process to check in and out was very easy. Only complaint was the proximity to the highway. At night it was fine, but during the day it was pretty loud with traffic. The bed was a little firm for our liking, but overall a great spot!
Perfect place for me and my partner to do all of our adventures by the gorge short drive of 10 minutes. The amenities was great and perfect to wash clothes before leaving. Only this was the mattress was super firm little uncomfortable. Otherwise than the mattress it was great
After a long day of commuting and exploring it was so nice to drive a short distance and park right in front of the unit to unload. Everything was very clean. Recliner couch was super comfy. Washer and dryer worked great with provided soap. Bedroom does sit close to the road. Appreciated the box fan for white noise.

We stayed here for two nights while we explored the northern section of the New River Gorge National Park and surrounding areas. It was a great central location for visiting both Fayetteville and Beckley, as well as the northern park Visitors Center. A dedicated parking space right in front of the Flat was very nice (only steps to the door), and everything was spotlessly clean. The full kitchen and washer/dryer were also great to have. Good value & we would stay here again. Note that if you are particularly sensitive to scents, this place might not be for you, as there were scented candles and strongly-scented laundry detergent.
My daughter and I loved this property! It was the perfect size for the two of us. Right away when we walked in it smelled fresh and was very tidy and nicely decorated. She loved the two TVs with access to Netflix. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had all of the items we needed for the stay. The shower was spectacular, warm and powerful! One of the greatest things for momma, was the washer and dryer. So convenient!!
The flat had comfortable furniture and a firm mattress but the sheets were pilled and need replacing. The linens are all also strongly scented - like febreeze or strongly floral detergent and there was a hot wax scented diffuser going when we arrived so the perfume smell hit us when we opened the door. Just be aware if you are scent sensitive and bring own linens.
The main problem for us was the noise. The flat sits right on the road and cars were going by frequently until late at night and again before sun came up. With bedroom at front it was hard to sleep - I had to use the sound machine on my phone up on full volume. May not be a problem for heavy sleepers or those who live in a city and are used to community noise.
Check in was easy and close to National Forest trails. Good A/C kept the flat cool in the heat wave!
