  • Royal Springs River House Retreat aka "The Treehouse"

    This 3 acre Retreat is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath stilt house with epic breezes and views of the historic Suwannee River, with huge wrap around deck, covered screened room with breakfast bar, and large Florida room aka the game room. It has multiple picnic tables, outside grill, fire pit, hammocks, and benches for relaxing by the fire, or by the river, all overlooking a huge backyard and natural river view.

    Bring a picnic lunch and walk to Royal Springs and jump off the dock into the crystal clear blue/green spring. Bring your boat or jet ski as there is a boat ramp at the spring as well. Kayak up and down the river and discover the hidden springs nearby.

    Go spring hopping to some of the many beautiful springs in the area, such as Little River Spring, Peacock Springs, Charles Springs, and be sure to tube the lazy river at Ichetucknee Springs.

We really enjoyed our stay. The host ( Christine) greeted us upon arrival and was eager to share recommendations for things to do in the area. The house was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The whole family had a blast!

We had a BEAUTIFUL and relaxing stay at this river rental. Everything was so neat and organized with extras like kayaks, a canoes, games and what not. And it is just 0.5 miles from Royal Springs. The owners were quick to respond to any questions we had and we even got to meet them while they were another rental. Very nice couple. Would highly recommend it for family vacations or weekend get-away.

Comfortable beds, soft sheets and lots of towels. Our week long stay was a delight and we were able to enjoy a truly relaxing trip to visit family and friends nearby. Christine and Tony were very responsive and even brought a cooler over from their home for us to use during our stay. We are looking forward to our next visit, hopefully in the spring! Oh, and the PacMan arcade game was a real trip down memory lane and we all enjoyed playing!

Paradise on the Suwannee

Such a peaceful quiet place to get away to and relax. The camp site next door was a big bonus as it allowed our friends to visit and be literally next door. Highly recommended!

Myself and a few friends were here from all over to help with the hurricane disaster relief project. Mrs. Christine made sure we were comfortable, made accommodations for us, and had exceptional hospitality. You will love it here!!!!!

Remote Stay

We had some survey workers working south of Mayo area and needed a safe, clean place to stay for a few weeks. This gave them the comforts of home rather than driving back and forth to Orlando each day. Much better than having them stay in a hotel week after week. Owner very responsive to all needs.

Wonderful!

We were able to have a quick getaway in between hurricanes! Place is exactly as described. Comfortable, clean, the spring is a walk away, the river is serene and they have an arcade machine there. I did not know I love the game Dig Dug!

Royal spring trip

Overall house was great. Beautiful location on the Suwanee river. Right down road from Royal springs. We stayed in home for two nights, 6 kids and 4 adults. Very conformable house. Kitchen needs more (pots pans etc.)to accommodate making a meal there but we made due. Thanks for allowing us to stay in the great place. .

Suwanee River Getaway

We were in town for a couple of days and wanted to stay on the Suwanee river. This property provided great access to the river and was a peaceful setting in a country area. We traveled to Lake City both days which is a 40 minute drive but it was nice to stay here as opposed to a hotel by the highway. Our

Thanksgiving retreat

This property and location were a fabulous retreat for our family. There was wood for the fire pit, canoes and kayaks easily accessible and very close to many natural springs. View of the river from the kitchen window! Plenty of space in the house for indoor activities too. Plenty of space for 4 adults to be together or go off on their own. Mothers Day Trip

Quiet,Relaxing. Just what we needed after loosing our brother in March. View from the porch was awseme. Drank wine on the river every night. One night had a fire in the fire pit. My sister caught a fish. I went kayaking for the first time. House was clean. Beds comfortable. Foos ball table and pacmantook us back to our childhooddays. Strongly recommend!childhooddays.

Everything we needed

Very comfortable, spacious and clean. Relaxing and fun for the whole family. Views are picturesque during the day. Host is very responsive. Drive to the house is adventurous with the dirt roads. Decking in need of small repairs, slippery when wet and icy. Front door lock took getting use to. Overall, 9 out of 10, definitely recommend

This is a very spacious modular home in a beautiful setting on the Suwanee river. It is remote and private in rural Florida. Comfortable beds, good water pressure, fully equipped kitchen, good smart TV and wifi.The master bath shower is pretty small. There was a fun fire pit between the house and the river. Our host was very responsive and lived in the vicinity. She brought us fresh eggs. We got the impression we might be some of the first renters, and they were very welcoming of feedback. The property is close to a park with springs and river access, although we did not personally use the kayaks or canoes.

This home was a prefect place to meet up with our 2 adult kids for Father’s Day. And we had a few cousins stop by. We enjoyed playing corn hole and the Pac-Man machine games. The rec room was awesome. Views from the screened in porch of the river were so amazing. Very close to Royal springs which we did visit. A fun little adventure.We spent time observing the wildlife and birds each morning with our coffee. Everything you need is there. Dishes coffee Ect. Thoughtfully stocked and decorated. Will definitely stay there again when we are in Obrien. Our hostess was very sweet and easy to communicate with! Highly recommend for families!! Or a couple that just wants some peace and quiet.
