「It was a shame that I didn’t arrive until the early hours of the morning. I didn’t get to sample the facilities that were available as I had to leave in the morning.
The staff were lovely and the standard of the hotel is excellent.
The price I paid for the room and breakfast was also very reasonable」
「It is a lovely hotel, easy to get to and has own parking which is exceptional for Matlock. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, nothing is a problem. Good clean rooms and the breakfasts are first class. Would recommend. 」

Friendly and helpful staff and our room was clean and cosy.
Breakfast was okay, but would've like to have seen a selection of mini cakes/biscuits and fresh fruits to the selection, just to give more of a variety and also some fresh juice in addition to the cordial, tea and coffee on offer.
However an enjoyable and pleasant stay and would love to return. 」

「Lovely place to stay the night whilst we were visiting Chatsworth House. Nice and quiet ample parking. The room was really clean and everything we needed was provided even a fan which was a god send as the weather was sweltering. Had a perfect nights sleep. The staff were amazing and extremely friendly both at the reception and in the restaurant. We had both and evening meal and breakfast the food was lovely, hot and well prepared. We had drinks in the garden over looking the beautiful field's...
「One night stay was good for what we needed just very dusty , cobwebs everywhere , dust in the air vent in the bathroom , cracks and screws hanging out.
Would stay again as the room is adequate just needs abit of a clean. 」

「What a delightful little property. Rooms are lovely and recently refurbished, and beautifully clean. Well stocked tea, coffee & water with complimentary biscuits. The owner was in regular contact before our stay, sent details on how to access the property and was so helpful with tips on local places to eat etc. There was even a little tuck shop with an honesty box for chocolate and cans of drinks. Wonderful experience, wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend 」
「The staff were lovely, helpful, visible and polite. The food was great for the 50% off which it was that day. The restaurant, reception and room no complaints at all. The only thing I could say to improve would be the stairwell to the rooms wasn’t hoovered and didn’t look like it had been for a while. The carpet was also ripped in a couple of places. 」
