"Das Sauerland Stern Hotel war insgesamt leider nur mittelmäßig. Positiv hervorzuheben ist die sehr gute Lage – alles ist fußläufig erreichbar, was gerade für Ausflüge praktisch ist. Leider wird dieser Vorteil durch den Service deutlich relativiert. Das Personal wirkte mehrfach unfreundlich und wenig hilfsbereit, bei Fragen oder Anliegen eher desinteressiert. "The property was nice, but Travelocity states that they are pet friendly and that is not accurate, I made the mistake of showing up with my dog, without contacting them in advance (something that I have done many times at hotels that advertise as pet friendly and it has never been a problem) and the room I was in was not a dog room. "Unbelievable experience!! Loved everything about this castle… if you want to stay in a 750+ year old castle with unbelievable staff, stay here! Restaurant was great, food amazing… Ano (not sure if I spelled it right) and his wife (and staff) were unbelievably accommodating. Highly recommend staying here! Definitely worth the trip and money… can’t wait to come back!"
