The Space:
Welcome to the Blue Octopus, a cozy coastal retreat in Norfolk—perfect for up to 6 guests. This inviting 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home blends relaxed beach vibes with everyday comfort. Unwind in the bright living area, cook up your favorites in the fully-equipped kitchen, and recharge in our comfy, well-appointed bedrooms.

Enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails in the backyard, or fire up the BBQ for an al fresco dinner. The outdoor space is great for families or friends looking to make the most of their time together.

Located just minutes from the beach, Norfolk Naval Base, and top local eats, the Blue Octopus offers the perfect mix of convenience, charm, and laid-back seaside living.

Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the entire Blue Octopus home, inviting living spaces, fully equipped kitchen, and three cozy bedrooms. Whether you're working remotely or unwinding in the jacuzzi, every corner is designed for comfort and ease.

Enjoy shared access to the outdoor space, perfect for grilling, lounging, or letting the kids play. It’s a peaceful spot to start your morning or wind down after a day at the beach. Please note that there is no longer a white remote for the outdoor or pool area lights. The outdoor lighting is now controlled manually from the switch located near the pool entrance.

Driveway parking is available for four vehicles directly in front of the home.

For your convenience, the home features keyless entry for smooth and flexible check-in and check-out.

It’s the perfect spot to relax while staying close to the best of Norfolk!

The Blue Octopus offers convenient access to various transportation options:

Driving: Ample street parking is available, making it easy to explore Norfolk and nearby attractions by car.
Public Transit: Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) provides bus services throughout Norfolk, connecting you to key destinations.
Light Rail: "The Tide" light rail system offers a 7.4-mile route through downtown Norfolk, with trains running every 15 minutes during peak hours.
Taxis & Rideshares: Services like zTrip, Uber, and Lyft are readily available for convenient travel around the city.
Biking & Walking: The neighborhood is pedestrian-friendly, and bike rentals are accessible for a more active exploration.

Cleaning Fees (If Applicable):

Smoking indoors: $250
You’re welcome to smoke outside the property in designated outdoor areas. We kindly ask that you clean up afterward and properly dispose of cigarette butts to help keep the space tidy and pleasant for everyone.
Vomit, bodily fluids, or human/animal waste: $250
Illegal drug paraphernalia: $250
Glitter or confetti: $200
Unauthorized pets: $200 per pet
Excessive dirty dishes: $50
Missing towel: $20 per towel
Pets:

Dogs only; maximum of 2 dogs per stay – $99 non-refundable pet fee
Pets must not be left unattended at the home
Please clean up after your pet in the yard
Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds
No noise complaints due to pets from neighbors
Additional cleaning fees apply if there’s pet hair or evidence of pets on furniture
No cats allowed – please ask before bringing any other animals
Plumbing & Drain Care:

Do not flush anything that may cause plumbing issues
Do not pour grease down the drain
Forgotten Personal Items:

Items left behind may be shipped within one week of discovery
Guest pays shipping costs + $30 handling fee
Domestic shipping only (No international shipments)
Guests:

If more guests will be joining beyond your reservation, you must notify us in advance
Unauthorized extra guests will result in immediate cancellation without refund and removal from the property
Additional unapproved guests will be charged $75 per person
The main guest is responsible for any damages caused by their party
Late Checkout:

$60 per hour (pro-rated) if you stay beyond checkout time without approval
We may offer complimentary late checkout if requested before the day of departure, subject to cleaning team availability
