The vacation rental (60 square meters) features a private entrance, a kitchen with its own stove/oven, refrigerator, bathroom/toilet, TV, Wi-Fi, and a south-facing balcony. Bedding and towels are included in the price.
The apartment is spread over two levels. On the first floor are the spacious entryway and the shower room. A staircase leads up to the kitchen with a cozy dining area. Here you’ll also find the bright, spacious living room with a south-facing balcony. Two bedrooms with a beautiful view over the meadows and flower-filled landscape, and across the peninsula toward the sea, complete the layout. The sunny seating areas just to the right and left of the entrance outside invite you to relax, watch birds, enjoy a cozy chat, and more.
The sound of the sea, the salty, fresh sea air, the call of wild geese on their daily flight paths, the vast starry sky, and the tranquility and peaceful atmosphere make your vacation here something truly special. The lovingly landscaped flower beds in the courtyard and on the grounds—with their small seating areas and artifacts from the former farmstead—as well as the fruit tree meadow create a wonderful atmosphere.
The sea is 600 meters away, just beyond the former farming and fishing village. In the mornings, you can marvel at the most beautiful sunrises here, and during the day, the beach—with its view of the lighthouse—invites you to linger and take relaxing walks in the evening hours. Winter highlights have often included impressive natural spectacles such as the Northern Lights and the ice forming on the freezing sea.
The peninsula on which the small village is situated captivates visitors with its unique flora, fauna, and birdlife set against a wondrous natural backdrop. Its diverse network of trails invites visitors to go hiking, biking, and engage in fitness activities such as morning jogs.
Towns with good restaurants, shopping, and medical care can be found in Gelting, Wackerballig (about 5 km away), or in Kappeln (about 15 km away), which offers a wider and more varied selection. Cities such as Glücksburg, with its moated castle, and Flensburg, with its various events, as well as Eckernförde, are easily and conveniently accessible by car (and, in some cases, by public transportation). Nearby attractions such as the “Haithabu Viking Village,” “Gottdorf Castle” in Schleswig, Germany’s smallest town, “Arnis,” on the Schlei, and the “Maasholm” and “Holnis” peninsulas are all worth a short trip.
We look forward to seeing you! A warm welcome to this special place—the Lichthof in Angeln.
