It turns out that my girls weekend witnessed history in the making as the Niagara Falls have not been frozen since 1848, until now January 25th, 2025. The day was brisk, the falls were still lovely to look at, and the walk from our hotel was 5 mins.

What I'd like to share about Niagara Falls is that there's more to the city than the amusements in and around Clifton Hill. Hey, I ride the Skywheel in winter (heated gondolas). Try breakfast on Lundy's Lane. Show some love to local shops Downtown.

Niagara is a family favourite and it seems to get better every year. Bird Kingdom, arcades, fireworks, hikes, the falls at all times, special shows at Frewin theatre are musts. This year we added Skylon (super expensive, but glad to try once).

I think its a great place to visit. Lots of cool things to see other then the falls. Like the bird aviary and the butterfly conservatory. Lots of fun things to do like the skywheel, bowling, arcades. But it can be expensive so prepare yourself.

Niagara has really built itself up over the last 10 years. It's like a Vegas for kids, haunted houses are great, the Bird Sanctuary is fantastic, go-carts were super fun and the Sky Wheel is a must ride. Everyone is there to have a good time.

This was our first time visiting Niagara Falls and really enjoyed our walking tour. Then the next morning we hiked to US side by way of the rainbow bridge.. rainbows were gorgeous that time day. Fun to see Falls from both sides! Easy to do.

We went during the highest travel time but the area is large enough to accommodate the crowds. The options for a fun day or two are plenty and close by. The views are outstanding, beyond what I had expected. Well tended and clean too.

Clifton Hill is a good area to stay in if you're looking for lots of activities... great for families. Niagara City Cruises is a fantastic experience. Food in general is very expensive, plus the tourism fee ~7.5%, and mediocre overall.

Niagara Falls are beautiful. There is something for everyone to do. Taking a boat ride on the Maid of the Mist/Niagara City Cruises is a must to get an up close and personal view of the falls. It is definitely a place to to visit!
"My only concern was the drain in the room. It needs to be cleaned !! The HVAC in the hallway needs to be improved to counter the effects of the “Greenhouse” effect of the sun through the glass panels. "
"During my stay, our room was 2057 and it was a very nice room. Very clean, great view of both American and Canadian Falls. The bathroom was nicely stocked with towels and supplies! We had dinner at Massimo's Italian restaurant- everything was very good including service and the food. My husband and I opted to do an earlier dinner reservation and then go back to our room to watch the fireworks. This turned out to be a great option and we were able to watch and hear from our room with the balcony window open!! We also had the breakfast buffet the next day, nice selections. Everything was fresh. The only snafu we had was when checking in, the staff member was a little hard to understand and she mentioned to us that we would have to come back the next day to get a $5 off per person coupon if we planned on dining in the hotel for breakfast. So, We went back the next day to get the coupon only to be told by another representative that that was wrong information. We were supposed to come back in the evening on the night that we checked in. I pushed a little further and said that is not our fault for the lack of information, and asked why was the coupon not given to us when we checked in??? This attendant walks away and came back and gave us the two discounts for the breakfast buffets. So all in all it worked out- and all was well. I would have to say that the breakfast buffet is a bit pricey, probably not worth it... As we did not eat well enough for $30 per person. "
