The staff here is truly wonderful! As there is no elevator, they helped us to take our bags upstairs to our rooms. I was working a good portion of our trip and the wifi here was great. The employees offered suggestions on places we could walk to visit in the town and made sure to let us know if the pub kitchen was closing in case we wanted to order.

Loved this place. Gorgeous little pub with large rooms in separate annex. Staff were all super friendly and accommodating, rooms were beautiful, clean and cosy and food (we had dinner and breakfast) was delicious. Highly recommend for anyone staying in or around Newmarket area.

The Packhorse Inn was a very pleasant inn to stay at for my business trip! The room itself was well air conditioned and the amenities were very comfortable. Any extras needed such as ironing board, etc were readily available from the staff. Had breakfast and supper multiple evenings of my trip and always enjoyed them throughly. Generous portions and reasonable pricing. The inn itself is located next to a quiet and quaint village which is a short few minute drive into Newmarket which is loaded...

The room was very nice, the shower was excellent. The food in the restaurant was very good, and the staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Great staff and amazing location to stay and eat at.

Wonderful classic English inn. Fabulous staff and delicious food. Highly recommended

Nice place to stay

Great stay. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Clean rooms, wifi worked well, and nice that they have air con.

We only had a one night stay while we took in a show in Ely. The staff were really happy and helpful. A small boutique establishment but steeped in history. Although there was maintenance work going on it didn't detract from a lovely experience, the whole building was still immaculately clean. Room was beautiful, I believe that all the rooms are individually styled and ours certainly had a little wow factor. It's also a great location to explore the beautiful city and all it has to offer. Our room was lovely. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious!

The quaint historic room was comfortable and with an en- suite and soaking tub. The restaurant was like a high level restaurant with an extensive menu. I had the Rogan Josh curry which was amazing. The potato soup was the BEST I have EVER had!! Our breakfast was very good too. Full English with local sausage. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. It was so peaceful and quiet. Worth being a little bit out of town. So relaxing.

Great traditional pub, quaint room, adequate parking, clean warm. Very friendly owner amazing breakfast

The room was just the right size, but the only thing I would suggest is putting a small tray or rack in the shower for room #3. There's no where to put shampoos/conditioners, etc. when using the shower.

Super easy to get in and out. Convenient location. Managers are helpful and always around to answer questions.

This property is fantastic. The staff was very kind and welcoming. Beautiful stay!

We had a big party staying here for a family wedding nearby. I don’t usually do these reviews but the Elveden was just outstanding. The place is lovely with nice rooms and a great lounge, bar and restaurant, but it was the staff who made this special. Friendly, competent and endlessly helpful dealing with our group, including arranging two large dinners at short notice. Strongly recommended!

We were greeted by Noah and he served us breakfast each morning and made our stay more pleasant with his cheerfulness. We slept over the Pub and surprisingly had a great nights sleep for all three nights! We were in walking distance of market square and city shopping! Parks close by and Cam river. Enjoyed our stay!

Lovely modern room in restored old building. Staff were helpful, and both dinner and breakfast in the pub were great.
