This beautifully decorated and well-appointed 2 bed 1 bath home centrally located in Augusta. The sleeping arrangements for this property are 2 queen beds.

"Everything was great at this house! The space was inviting, comfortable and clean. Pet friendly places are sometimes harder to find for dogs over 25lbs, but this place was great for us. I appreciated the fenced in yard."

"We were very pleased with our stay. The property was located on a nice, quiet, dead end street. There was a nice driveway as soon as we pulled in, and the front of the property looked very nice, and we were pleased with the inside as well as the back yard. The street is very quiet, we took our dog for walks nightly and it was nice, and at no point and time did you feel ‘unsafe’ walking the street, neighborhood was orderly and the neighbor interactions we did have were friendly. The backyard is a very nice size with a nice deck area, and a grill. The back yard is fenced in, but the backside fence is very low, so if you have a bigger dog, or a jumper dog, you would want to bring along a longer leash maybe to put around the tree, or whatever you may decide. The property was clean, and as soon as you walked in you felt ‘relaxed’. There are three very nice bedrooms, that were nicely made and provided towels and washcloths in each. The bathrooms were very clean, with one attached to the master room, the fact that there was shampoo and conditioner provided was very nice (Pantene, as well as Olay Body Wash), as we forgot ours. The laundry room was a nice feature, and placed where you could do laundry and not hear it being done. The living room was very nice, as well as the kitchen. We very much enjoyed our stay and would book again."

Home of Freeman Walker, outstanding citizen of early Georgia. Born in Virginia in 1780, he came to Richmond County in his youth and studied law. Freeman Walker, in 1826, deeded 70 acres of land to the United States Government to be used as an arsenal-the site now of the Junior College of Augusta. He reserved one acre as a family burial ground, known as the Walker Cemetery. He was the father of Maj. Gen. W. H. T. Walker, CSA. Admitted to the bar in 1802, he followed a life of public service; City Attorney for three years and Mayor of Augusta 1817-19, being the first to hold the city´s chief executive office under the name of Mayor, and Brigade Inspector of Gen. Valentine Walker´s brigade in 1813. He represented Richmond County in both branches of the State Legislature and represented Georgia in the U. S. Senate. His speech on the Missouri Compromise attracted nation-wide attention.

He died in 1827 and is buried in the Walker Cemetery.
