Beautiful, historic, updated home located in Mid-City. Wake up feeling inspired by the bright charm of this lovely home. Featuring original wood flooring, high ceilings, rustic touches, a chic design aesthetic with pops of color, and an outdoor dining space. Just over 2 miles to the French Quarter and 2 blocks from the Canal Streetcar Line!
Our home has 3 large bedrooms, each w/ a king-size bed; spacious bathrooms; a soaking tub in the primary bath; open-concept living area, and washer & dryer!
This gorgeous, lovingly renovated home is located in the Mid-City neighborhood of New Orleans, close to everything!
The open-concept living area features plenty of comfortable seating, TVs with streaming services, a large dining table with seating for your whole group, a spacious kitchen with large island and everything you need for making a meal on a cozy night in. There`s also a workspace area with a desk and chair off of the living room.
Large backyard with outdoor furniture and tons of space as well!
The bedroom/bathroom configurations are as follows:
- Bedroom 1 (Primary): King bed w/ TV and ensuite bath with double vanities, soaking tub, and separate shower. Also has an attached children`s bedroom with a twin daybed. Access to backyard.
- Bedroom 2: King bed w/ TV
- Bedroom 3: King bed w/ TV
- Common Area Bathroom: Shower/tub combo
- Half Bath/Powder Room: washer & dryer in this room, no shower or tub
**Please Note** : This home is located in the Mid-City area of New Orleans and, while a residential area, it is near lots of things you can expect when living near the urban core of a city. Like many areas of New Orleans, there are still places that have never recovered after Hurricane Katrina. Most of the homes in this neighborhood, like this one, have been lovingly restored, and others, like the one next door, are undergoing renovation or awaiting their salvation. One of the properties in this last category is the medical center/hospital that`s located across the street. It`s boarded up and fenced in and patrolled and lit at night to prevent problems. It`s nothing more than an eyesore we`re all used to, and we`ve never had any issues with anything associated with the property, but we believe it`s important to point it out so it`s not a surprise upon arrival.
You`ll have access to the entire home and backyard during your stay. Make yourselves at home!
We`re available by call or text, 24 hours a day, should any needs arise during your stay.
Mid-City is the perfect location for a New Orleans adventure! Some popular destinations include:
- Historic French Quarter: 2.5 miles
- Superdome & Smoothie King Center: 2.2 miles
- Lafitte Greenway: 0.3 miles
- City Park & one of the Café Du Monde locations: 1.5 miles
- Fairgrounds & Race Course: 2 miles
- Tons of nearby popular restaurants within walking distance, including: Coffee Science, Bayou Beer Garden, Wrong Iron on the Greenway, Neyow`s Creole Café, Katie`s Seafood, Mandina`s Italian, and Taqueria Guerrero. Many others just a short ride away as well.
- Nearby places for essentials include a Whole Foods and a Winn-Dixie about a half mile away, and a CVS and Dollar General close as well.
You`ll be two blocks from a stop on the Canal Street Streetcar line (Canal & Clark and Canal & Telemachus), which connects to many popular parts of the city. Ubers and Lyfts are also easy to come by in this area any time of day or night.
***PARKING***: There is no parking available on the property, but there is free street parking on the street in front of the house and on the surrounding blocks. A new Thai restaurant just opened in 2026 next door to the house - Chada Thai. It`s an upscale place, and reviews so far are great! This may mean that parking directly in front of the house may not always be available like it used to be though, but all of the street parking on the surrounding block is free of cost.
Absolutely no parties!
New Orleans is prone to hurricanes and other storms, sometimes outside of the normal season. Please note that we do not move, cancel, or provide refunds or credits for any reason, including COVID, road conditions/closures, travel cancellations, and weather conditions. If you think you may need to cancel for any reason, we HIGHLY SUGGEST that you purchase trip insurance or book closer to your travel dates.
***There is a $200 security/damage deposit collected 3 days prior to arrival, and returned shortly after your stay. This is done as a $200 hold on your method of payment, not a full charge. Please see the rental agreement (required to be read and signed before booking) for more details. ***
1. The booking guest must have their ID uploaded to their profile.
2. Please be mindful of the neighbors sleeping. We recommend being quiet after 8:30pm (weekdays including Sundays) and 9:00pm (weekends).
3. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time for an extra fee. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $50 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given. Late checkouts MUST be requested before 9PM the day before your departure.
4. Clean towels are a provided amenity, there is a washer and dryer in the unit if you need a refresh!
5. Smoking & vaping in the unit will result in a $500 deodorization fee.
6. Unregistered guests and parties are prohibited by local laws and ILLEGAL. Our occupancy limits are set by local ordinance. Any guest found to have had a party or over-occupancy will be charged a $1,000 fee for non-compliance with local laws. As of May 2022, all rental platforms have specifically banned parties from their units. Violation of this rule will result in a ban from the platform.
7. Please do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces.
8. Please do not use face towels to remove makeup, it damages the towels. There are makeup towels provided for this use.
9. If the space is left excessively dirty $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100.
10. Pets are NOT allowed at this listing. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 deep cleaning cleaning fee and immediate request to leave. Pet Boarding recommendations available upon request.
11. After you’ve read these rules, please send me a message with the words “yellow kangaroo” it will let me know that you have read the rules thoroughly.
12. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings from “Locals” at this time. Locals is meant to include anyone residing within 60 miles of New Orleans.
13. While we cannot receive any mail or packages to the space we will assist with getting packages shipped to New Orleans if needed.
14. Commercial video and photo shoots are strictly forbidden without prior and authorized consent. Associated day-rate fees, liability waivers and copyright contracts will apply if consent is given.
15. Message us for long term stays.
16. Trash & recycling is picked up on Monday.
17. All of our TV`s are streaming, we do not provide any account information, you will have to log into your own. Please remember to log out at check out. We do not have cable TV.
18. Should you wish to receive an early check-in or late check-out, please let us know the day before and we will determine if it`s possible. We require time to prepare the unit for your stay or after your stay for the next guest and sometimes we are unable to accommodate. If we can accommodate, we will charge $25/hour for the additional booking time. This will also be in place for dropping luggage off or leaving your luggage after checkout time has passed. Payment will be requested after your additional time has been approved.
19. Lost Items: We return lost items for a $75 flat fee. This is to cover shipping costs, along with the time spent to retrieve & mail your item. If you leave anything at the unit, please let us know immediately.
