The location was great! The hotel under construction, so the main lobby level was rough. The fire alarm went off on Saturday night, which disrupted a lot and it was unclear what was happening.

We had exhaust/gas/grease smells in the corridors & elevators. Only two of three elevators worked during our stay and they were constantly blocking an area off to work on the elevator with loud banging and grinding sounds. The outdoor construction caused roof insulation to rain down into the pool and OUR DRINKS while we were trying to enjoy the pool. The pool had a layer of the stuff floating on top. So gross and probably unsafe/unhealthy. Our A/C never worked properly, the front desk said it had to be adjusted from a central location but that never seemed to happen and it always read the same temperature. The $15 daily voucher isn't even enough for one cocktail so you end up spending money. And it's one per day per room not per guest which is ridiculous. Also, we had a member of the staff just walk into our room. They apologized and said his list said the room was vacant. Clearly it was not. Really a disappointing stay and then we get charged a daily resort fee. Unbelievable.

Property is in a very convenient place. Walking distance from everything. It is very old Rooms can use updating when I booked I thought I had a balcony but it was only to The 2nd floor :( not looking out the street. Also a lot Of construction going on :(

This hotel is currently undergoing some type of construction, which is not their fault. All businesses have to do work to upkeep especially in an area like New Orleans. However, they are allowing people to book the 2nd floor, regardless, and they don’t tell you in advance there may be some type of issue associated with the noise and the possible contaminants/irritants associated with the work they’re doing on the building. My friend and I both had bad allergy flair ups while they were working, specifically in our bathroom, and it was quite loud all the time they were doing work which was pretty much all day long. There were a few other issues that happened which I brought to the hotel directly. A handiman burst into my bedroom at 7am when I was very much still asleep, due to a plastic curtain pull that had broken the first day we arrived. It was a mistake- perhaps obviously. I’m not trying to flag the whole hotel for it. But after being up all night feeling pretty terrible, being itchy as heck and having a rough time breathing with the irritants surrounding the construction, it wasn’t pleasant. Generally speaking, the people that work here do a wonderful job and I really think August is a hard month for the quarter businesses and they booked us when they maybe should have moved our room or said no, due to needing the bookings in the slow season. I think this is still a luxury hotel, they just had some issues this time.

Hotel is currently under construction and everything is incredibly unorganized as a result. Waited over an hour at check out for our vehicle before we eventually went and retrieved it ourself. Do not recommend.

The property was under a major renovation along with extensive construction going on at the street level. So the email sent a few days before check in didn't speak to how disruptive this work would be to our stay. Check-in was chaotic. Arrived at 2:45 PM. Room wasn't ready, piles of luggage from other guests littered lobby. At check-in I was given a different rate for my dogs (quoted $100 for my two small dogs a week earlier via phone) now it was $150 for both dogs ($300 charge placed on my card). I asked how would be notified when the room was available? "We'll call you." I received no call. I came back around 4:50 PM to see if the room was ready. Got to my room wanted to relax outside on the terrace. I was admiring the ivy when I saw a used poop bag from a previous four legged guest. I also noted that the tub had a crack in it. My second night I phoned front desk for an extra towel waited an hour never got it. Tried it again the next day waited two hours, finally gave up went to dinner. Upon my return called again and finally go my towels. I enjoyed my time in the area but not at this hotel. As someone who has roots that connect me to the city and plans to return yearly I was hoping to find a great location that I and my pets could enjoy.

We booked 6 rooms for our destination wedding weekend. I grew up in New Orleans and come back a few times a year. I would never stay or recommend the Omni. After a 12 hour drive no one was there to help with luggage or valet car. Four of the rooms had to be switched, three for the AC failing and one because the toilet did mot work. One of the 7 floors had an ice machine that worked. Although most staff were nice, they did not seem to care one bit about anything that we went through. The AC in our room had massive black mold and debris that spewed into the room when i tried to at least clean it. There are way too many beautiful places to stay to EVER choose the Omni.

Rooms usd to be nice 20 yrs ago. Carpets nasty, bathroom full of chipped tile, caulk , dirty trim n doors . Swimming pool is a absolute petri dish. Black mold in all the grout lines....so thick it comes off in chunks. Nobody to scrub the damn pool?

The lobby is being renovated, which is not mentioned on the Expedia listing. The valet was slow and disorganized. The hotel requested via text that cars be requested in person. The wait was over an hour and we finally had to go to the garage and got the car ourselves! The restaurant food was just OK, and not worth the price. The service was very slow. The bartender at happy hour was slow and unfriendly. There was a $200 per night hold and a $25 daily “destination fee” that was not disclosed by Expedia during booking. Overall - unsatisfactory. Stay almost anywhere else.

If you would enjoy a day in the bunks of the titanic this is the place for you. Unfortunately this place is horribly outdated and the pictures are severely deceiving when it comes to size of the rooms. The rooms are tiny, offer physically no space whatsoever. 2 people is pushing it in a queen room with patio excess. The bathroom needs some serious updating and again offers no room at all. The bed was an old spring mattress that felt like laying on an old supersized piece of toast that offered no support or comfort. Walls were paper thin and the entire floor was covered in old old carpet which may have contributed to the musky, humid smell allover. The hot shower was the only positive experience unfortunately. Parking was a disaster since there was no parking available except for valet which ran you 57$ per day and you were at mercy of the poor valet guys who ran back and forth all day. It was close to burbon st. Overall i do not recommend.

Unfortunately the property was under construction. If we had known prior we would have booked elsewhere. The staff was wonderful, they were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Don’t forget to tip your bellman! Parking is also an issue within these accommodations. It was hard to find the valet. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay

The staff from the front desk to the bellmen to the housekeeping team were friendly and consistently went above and beyond this was my 4th stay at thr Omni and i look forward to coming back again! A HUGE THANK YOU to Smiley who went above and beyond and upgraded our room to a balcony room which made our trip extra special and 5 stars and 2 Big thumbs up. Thank you everyone, i consider Nola my home away from home and now the omni will be my only go to for upcoming stays! Thanks a million!

The location is great! The roof top pool and views are very impressive. Steve, the concierge, was a great help. We also enjoyed the Happy Hour at the Rig Room bar. I highly recommend this hotel. My only complaints are that our room was not attended to so we had to tell the front desk in order to get service, and the safe was locked shut upon arrival. We need assistance to open it for our use.
