Amazing place to stay in all seasons :
In autumn, distillery visits and wine tasting local Cremant, Pinot gris and Gewurtztramminer along the Wine Road with its beautiful towns showcasing traditional architecture are a must combined with culinary exploration and cosy nights in.
In winter, the many local Christmas markets are magical and there is a small ski resort about 15 km away.
Spring is the ideal time to discover exhilarating mountain biking tracks and access the forest paths. Riding ebikes across the vineyards is a great experience and you may be able to share a meal with the wine producers. A popular event with trail runners is the “Trail du Wurzel” and motor racing is on the agenda too.
Summer offers so many activities. Wine and beer festivals appear across many towns during the Summer months, visiting historic sites such as le Chateau du Haut-Koenigsbourg, les mines d’argent, le musee de l’Automobile are all worth it.
For the more adventurous , tree top adventure at Le Hohwald or a visit to Europa-park will guarantee a thrilling day. You may even be able to attend a music festival mid July.
Excellent bakery / patisserie in Lalaye. One of my favourite places to stop to pick up fresh bread and have a sneaky cappuccino.
