"The staff was wonderful and we really loved their breakfast! Really beautiful view and awesome breakfast spread. The only negative thing is that we didn’t know we’d have to pay state and local taxes when we left, so that was an additional 60 Euro that no one told us about when we booked. But other than that, it was a very nice hotel and we were comfortable. "

"We loved the neighborhood and the historic building was nice. The staff wasn’t overly friendly. And it’s essentially a bed and breakfast so you can hear other guests in their rooms."

"The room was spacious, bigger than others i have stayed in, in Italy. I love the location, and it’s convenient proximity to Ottaviano Metro Station. The breakfast area was large and fit a lot of people, which was nice because I don’t like to be crammed in a tight spot. "

"Have been staying in Rome for 27 years - always closer to the centre. The Albani was great value, the staff very friendly. The room a bit funky but I like a bit of colour! Importantly there are multiple buses routes to the centre about 200 metres away with card tap on available and many good restaurants and bars within easy walking. We will stay at the Albani again."

"The location is fabulous, at the top of the Spanish Steps. The hotel is solid with a lot of quirky character due to its age. We stayed in the adjacent building. The room was very clean; the bathroom typical of Italy: small with a sink, toilet & bidet and a small corner shower and heated towel rack. The room heater worked well and there was a huge window opening to the busy steeet below although it was so high we couldn’t see out. Buffet breakfast was included and was plentiful and tasty with lots of choices. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The one complaint is the hotel restaurant. Prices were high (8€ beer, 12€ glass of ordinary wine, 6€ tea) compared to other cafes & restaurants in Italy. And something we’ve never encountered in Italy was the demand for a tip by the waiter. He said if we wanted to pay by credit card we must include a tip. We watched his interaction with other patrons and his less-than friendly attitude was enough to turn away future patrons. Despite the restaurant experience we would definitely stay here again. "

"Hotel Raphael is a wonderful hotel in a wonderful area of Rome. The service team at the hotel were very friendly and kind. We really enjoyed their roof top terrace which offer beautiful views of Rome. The dining options at the hotel are excellent. Their breakfast is very good and we enjoyed some of their restaurant dishes on their terrace. Overall, a wonderfully located hotel that was a pleasure to visit."
