Truly a wonderful experience, the owners thought of everything even providing a flashlight and umbrella since we came during a rainy weekend. 「We really enjoyed the property. There are short hikes around the property, that you can link up to longer hikes if you choose. About 20 minutes from Nelson. There are a few cabins on the property, but very private and not all too close to each other. It was very quiet and easy to get to more urban areas if you choose. 「Amazing hosts! The cabin is situated on a beautiful piece of property set among the idyllic countryside of Castlegar. An easy commute to town and beautiful attractions within the area. We enjoyed our morning coffees on the front porch listening to the everfesscent sounds of spring, an onithologists dream. Evening visits of statueseque elk that grazed upon the fauna. The view is terrific. Maria is a great hostess, met us upon arrival, checked on how we were enjoying our stay, and responded quickly to inquiries. 「The cabin is lovely. The kitchen is fantastic, well-equipped, and laid out beautifully. The Smeg fridge is lovely and retro and surprisingly holds a lot of food. The dishes/pottery are exceptional. 「We loved this place and would definitely recommend it. It lives up to the description and photos! The view is stunning day and night and it's 5 minutes from downtown. The kitchen was easy to cook in with everything we needed. We only gently heard faint footsteps upstairs and enjoyed being in someone's beautifully cared-for space. Only regret was not being there late enough in the season to see the gorgeous plantings come alive.」
