Palacio del Sol is about a mile from downtown Nafplio-- so you'll likely be driving into town for dinner, etc-- BUT it's EASY to park and drive... much easier than I would imagine staying in the old town to be. Lovely little pool too.

Best property of our trip. Host was friendly, rooms were cleaned promptly, view of the fortress was amazing at night and loved the warm pool. We stayed with 3 families, we had 3 of the 6 rooms. The rooms came with water, coffee and a few light pastries. The panini maker was great for making a quick sandwich or toasting bread. Starvos gave us market and restaurant recommends. Loved eating my breakfast on the patio each morning. It is an easy 4 minute drive the free port parking. Parking at Palacio del Sol is gated. WiFi is free and fast.

An amazing little hotel with very friendly owners/staff. Only six rooms but a decent-sized pool with easily enough sunbeds and umbrellas for all. We used the hotel as a 12-day base for multiple roadtrips to Olympia, Sparta, Mycenae and others, but every other guest only stayed 1 or 2 nights on stopovers. On our non-travel days, we often had the entire pool area to ourselves, but all was quiet if other guests also used it as everyone wanted to sunbathe/sleep in peace. The rooms are very comfortable with a little kitchen/microwave/kettle for cooking meals and TVs with Amazon, Netflix etc. There are multiple supermarkets nearby for shopping. Buy cat kibble and make friends with the strays who seem well-looked after by the always-friendly locals. Nafplio town is very pretty, a 30 min walk from hotel to harbour. LOTS of pretty bars and restaurants, the ones facing the fort in the harbour offer great sunset views. There's a huge free car park if you want to drive. Lots of beaches, our favourite is on other side of the hilltop castle, a 10min drive away. No facilities but lots of space, esp on weekdays. Beaches a bit further away have bars and restaurants. What a gem! Quiet! Beautiful modern furnishings, every comfort thought of, a lovely pool with plenty of lounge chairs, and an outstanding night time view of the lit up hill top fortress! Easy walk or drive for beach access and 5 minute drive to restaurants and shopping.

We had a truly wonderful stay and felt very comfortable from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and even included a small kitchen, which made our stay especially convenient. The accommodation is run by two lovely Greek hosts who were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We really enjoyed the little chats with them—they were always warm and welcoming and gave us great tips for exploring the area. All in all, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and authentic stay. ⸻ Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Zimmer war schön, großzügig geschnitten und verfügte sogar über eine kleine Küche, was unseren Aufenthalt besonders angenehm gemacht hat. Die Unterkunft wird von zwei wundervollen griechischen Gastgebern geführt, die uns jederzeit sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit begegnet sind. Die kleinen Gespräche waren immer herzlich, und wir haben tolle Tipps für die Region bekommen. Alles in allem hatten wir einen rundum schönen Aufenthalt und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

El personal muy atento y las habitaciones amplias y con mobiliario moderno y cuidado. A tener en cuenta que las habitaciones con el acceso para personas con discapacidad tienen el baño adaptado. Y por tanto no hay mampara de ducha. Si no estás acostumbrado, puede resultar algo incómodo ya que acaba todo el suelo y sanitarios empapados.
