The accommodation was lovely, the rooms are brilliant, our room (right at the top) was boutique style with a nice big bath in the room, great views out of the windows. 「I am sorry to say that the property was not what I expected. The area to park in was chaotic with cars parked all over the place so when I arrived after a traumatic journey, I was trying to find a place to park in the pitch black with no lights apart from my car lights. The room was not hoovered. The ‘kitchenette’ was dangerous due to the curtains being close to the air fryer. The toilet seat was loose, broken. There was barely a hello from the owner and he watched as I struggled in the rain...

「I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). 」

「Booked last minute, location fantastic, central with parking. Room was lovely, very comfortable bed. Owner Helen took the time to tell us about the building and all the renovations that have been done and ongoing. The public areas are beautiful, mix of old and new, really suits the place itself, all the staff were very friendly and gave us tips on where to eat out. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend a visit. We look forward to a very warm welcome in the future. 😊」
