This was the perfect rental for our family's week long beach trip. The house was very clean. We enjoyed having the back patio and yard. It is conveniently located to walk into the main town area or the farmer's market. Short drive to the beach. The owner met us and gave us a walk through of the property upon arrival and gave some tips on which beaches to visit and their parking situation, which was very helpful for us. The umbrella was missing from the shed, so we let the owner know and on the second day of our stay the owner dropped off a brand new one for us to have for the week. The only thing of note is if you're looking to stay anywhere in this neighborhood, there is a train track running through the backyard and throughout this area. The train only came through 3-4 times while we were home, but twice it was around 8:15-8:30 in the morning and woke up the remaining people who were sleeping in our house. We would stay here again on a future trip because of how clean and well kept the house is, the responsiveness of the owner, and convenience of location.

Graduation week May family fun!

Amazing stay at this home. It is stocked full of all things you can need or want. Our host thought of everything. The bikes, yard games and fire pit set us up for connection and laughter! The host is fabulous and near by if anything is needed. We loved our time at this vrbo and would recommend it for sure. It’s a great walk to local coffee shop and restaurants. We even walked to the beach for sunsets!!!! We love Grand Haven

Family Getaway

We booked our stay to visit the Tulip Festival in Holland. Family traveled from the east side of MI and the Northwest part of IN. We had a great time. Britta is an amazong hostess. The home is beautiful! She made sure we knew where everything was located. She had clear instructions of how to operate everything in the home. She even left all the necessary ingredients so we could make smores by the fire. We will definitely stay at the Runabout Resort again if we are in the area!!

LOVED our stay at Runabout Resort!!

The whole process of renting with Britta was a breeze. Great communication and Runabout Resort was absolutley perfect. We have rented in Grand Haven numerous times, everyone in my family agreed this is our favorite place. Such a lovely cottage, slept great, spacious porch and back yard. My Grand Daughter loved taking her nap in the "Secret Room". My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

Grand Haven Runabout

This property was amazing. It was super clean and had all the amenities that we needed. It was great to have enough towels for all the guests. That isn't always the case! There was a beautiful firepit with plenty of wood. The shed was packed with bikes and other fun things to use if you wanted. The front porch was fantastic. It was close to shopping and the lake front. We absolutely loved it!

Good size for a group near downtown

There was enough space for a big group to stay together near downtown. A couple of the bedrooms are a little tight and quirky, but it worked for sleeping. The two double beds actually felt larger than doubles and the pillows were very comfortable. Plenty of towels were provided for everyone to shower and the toilet paper was very well stocked as well. The kitchen, dining room and living room had nice flow for us all to eat together or lounge around watching TV. We especially liked the big front porch and screen door for having coffee and relaxing outside. The back yard is nice too, but we mostly used the front porch so that we could still talk to our friends inside. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and even though there's a train track near the house, I never heard it come by. The house is a short walk to bars and restaurants downtown, though you'd probably want to drive to the beach with little kids. Checking in and out was easy and the host was easy to contact if needed. We had a great stay for a weekend.

Great house to rent in Grand Haven

Family Time

We stayed for a week at the RunAbout resort and loved our stay! House was charming, comfortable and clean! Back yard and fire pit were perfect for our family gathering. Location was perfect! Walkable to “downtown strip!” The bikes of all sizes and bike trailer made it so easy to ride to the beach! We loved riding the boardwalk to the pier and playground. The house was well stocked and cozy! Best rental home we have ever stayed in and can’t wait to come back!

Great home

This home is very clean and well stocked. Easy to find and to check in and out. Front porch and back yard offer great space to hang out. 3 large bedrooms plus two other possible sleeping areas. (one with a fold out twin love seat and the other with a futon, either option intended for child or small person) We easily walked to the Riverwalk area. Based on other reviews, we thought we would be within an easy walking distance of the state park.... should have been more careful reading posting as it says 3 minute drive. We felt 1.5 miles was too far for walking each way with chairs, etc . :( Overall it was a great trip, great house.

Wonderful Wedding Weekend

Spent the weekend in Beach Haven for a family wedding and the home was perfect. Great location (5 blocks from water) and a beautiful home. The space was exactly as listed and had everything we needed. Enjoyed breakfast on the front porch and evening smores by the fire pit. Communication with Britta was easy and timely. Will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

We had a great stay here! The house was very clean, extremely well appointed and was in a great location for Grand Haven activities (downtown and beach). We had a fantastic stay! The house was beautifully decorated and had a lot of bonus amenities. We loved being able to walk to downtown from the property. Britta and Mike are so friendly! Would highly recommend staying here!

Annual Grand Haven Family Vacation

Our annual vacation at the Runabout Resort was excellent as usual despite mediocre weather and a second year of chilly Lake Michigan Temperatures. Britta ensured everything was in order at the resort and all of our needs & expectations were exceeded. Looking forward to next year's stay already!

Great Place!

The house was adorable, clean as can be, and well equipped with everything we needed for a great week. Beds were comfortable, and plenty of bath towels and beach towels were provided for our large group. The owners have gone above and beyond in creating a perfect beach getaway home in Grand Haven!

Grand Haven Vacation

Runabout Resort is a fabulous property, within walking distance to Grand Haven shopping, restaurants, the boardwalk and pier. We love to read on the cute front porch, and enjoy the backyard space grilling, eating outside, and throwing beanbags for corn hole. We enjoy taking a bike ride to the Farmer’s Market and riding along the channel. There is plenty of bedroom space and a large dining table. The house is well equipped with all you might need. We love the hosts and plan to come back next year!

Runabout Resort is a Relaxing Gem!

Runabout Resort is a gorgeous home in a prime location of Grand Haven. Short walk to shops, eateries, boardwalk, beach and lighthouse.Home has everything needed for a relaxing getaway. Britta, the host, is welcoming and gracious and has put her personal touch in providing all the amenities. Large backyard with great patio and fire pit, perfect for dining outside or playing games. Perfect in every way

We enjoyed this home in every way. The home had everything we needed from good beds, well appointed bathrooms and kitchen to a wonderful front porch and backyard that was well used and enjoyed by everyone in our group. The factor that put this property into our very top rating however, was the location. It was wonderful to be able to walk to the historic downtown, the boardwalk and the fountain. The town was a great location with plenty to enjoy. We would all love to return for another visit. Thanks for creating such a lovely vacation rental. One of the best I've ever stayed in.
