"The room was immaculate, check-in was fantastic, however it went down hill from there.
The service in the lounge/bar area fell short for what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber.
Anytime we needed anything we had to flag down the bartenders as they never looked in our direction. I felt it was intentional. (Perhaps because we are American?)
I could figure no other reason as we were polite and friendly. (Some readers may assume that we were acting inappropriately.)
We were also misinformed by the front desk when we called down to confirm whether clocks were to be pushed forward overnight for DLS. They said it was to take place the following day!
(Good thing we didn’t take their word for it!)
The topper was upon calling for a bellhop the morning of check out we waited for 25 mins and ended up bringing our bags down ourselves, so as not to miss our flight.
The hotel did show goodwill by taking off the previous nights food and beverage bill, but I would have much preferred the service I paid for by staying in a hotel of that level."
