HaoSTAY

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent hotel and service. Very clean and quiet. We slept very well. Well located, about 15 minutes walk to old town."

The Noborisaka Village

10/10 Excellent

"A great place to stay with views of Mt Fuji. Apartment style with good amenities. Very spacious apartment, a cool automated bathtub. Very clean and tidy. The coin operated washing machines near the lobby were ideal for our trip. There are some restaurants within walking distance. Not sure how accessible it is from the main town area, we had a car so getting around wasn’t an issue."

The Gran Resort Princess Fujikawaguchiko

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed 3 nights Oct 28-Nov 1. Highly recommend this hotel. The view of Mt. Fuji from every room is spectacular. I don't know another hotel in this (affordable) price range that has that. The room and the bathroom are spacious and clean with good hot water supply. Staff are very helpful, and they have staff who speak english which we appreciated. The onsen is pretty cool and as a first time user I used it every day. The breakfast buffet (Japanese) is excellent and I enjoyed trying food outside my comfort zone. Tip. Make use of the shuttle to Kawaguchiko station to take the local red/green/blue tour buses that operate like hop-on hop-off buses, for aightseeing in the area. The shuttle is also available for pick up from Kawaguchiko station from 3-5pm. Ask Information to call the hotel when you arrive. This place is away from the hordes and a relaxed tranquil retreat after a day of sightseeing. Will definitely stay here if we visit again. Loved it!"

10/10 Excellent

"This is our second stay at this ryokan and onsen. We booked a tatami room for 5 people and it was a comfortable stay, though a bit cramped. If you want a private onsen, get there early because they were all booked by the time we arrived for check-in at 3pm. We did manage to book the private onsen for early the next morning. The public onsens were also very relaxing and easy to use. The kaiseki meals were amazing and they gave us a private room for dining. It's about a 10 minute walk from the train station along wobbly roads so if you have luggage, it's not great. Unfortunately, we arrived around 1pm and the hotel luggage transportations were all closed and taxis were unavailable. Still a great experience and I'd stay here again if I went back to the lake."

Highland Resort Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"Clean and spacious hotel inside Fuji-Q Highland Amusement Park. Hotel guests have priority entrance to the amusement park and free parking (remember to ask for parking voucher). Onsen inside the hotel (temporary closed for renovation during our stay - Oct/Nov 2026). There are rooms with mountain view options. Extensive variety of western & Japanese buffet available for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as other restaurants inside the hotel. There are direct buses from Tokyo - cheaper and direct to the amusement park/hotel."
