"Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....

"We had a mini-family reunion at Drew's home and could not have had a more pleasant stay. Everytime we thought we had seen it all, there was another surprise (like the climbing wall). We especially loved spending time around the fireplace (s'mores!) and in the gameroom. There was enough space to spread out but also plenty of room to be together. The weather was sunny and warm and we had two days of tubing down the river. We only spent 1 day in Asheville, which we could've passed on, and the rest of the time we just chilled out. There were a number of close trails from easy to strenuous, but Mt. Mitchell was closed for repairs. We also got to spend time with Drew and Carly and got to milk Blossom the cow and hold some chickens. They were amazing hosts, the home was super-clean with almost every amenity you could think of, and just an all-around superb stay."
