"When we got to our room the bathroom towel had blood on it. We took it to the reception and complained about it and they did nothing about it. The room was supposed to have a balcony but we didn’t get it. They said paid parking is five minutes away and they give you a voucher to pay maximum but got charged more"

"Our stay at the Ibis Styles was comfortable overall, and the staff were very cooperative. The property itself is in a beautiful location, and we thoroughly enjoyed the excellent breakfast. Ample parking was available, though it is worth noting that the concrete was quite broken, which caused some inconvenience. However, we were a bit disappointed with the average standard of cleanliness. While the bed sheets, towels, and bathroom were perfectly clean, the room itself requires a more thorough overall cleaning; we noticed cobwebs and mosquitoes during our stay. Additionally, the ceiling light fixture was full of hundreds of dead flies, which detracted from the experience. On a minor technical note, the Optus mobile network coverage was poor in this area, particularly for data. Fortunately, the hotel's Wi-Fi was strong enough to counter that issue."

"Receptionists were all incompetent. Obviously, received minimal training. This property is very old and needs refurbishing. We had booked two separate nights, going to QLD and returning to Canberra. We thought that being upgraded on the second night would be very appreciated but we found the apartment was worse than the first room. A light over the bathroom mirror was hanging by the wiring. The bedroom aircon stopped working after 15 minutes. It was freezing in Canberra. Neither of us slept well. The pork ribs had hardly any meat on the bones. We won’t go there again."
