"Our first room had a very musty smell, so bad we woke up ver stuffy and not feeling well. They moved us to another room. That room was better. the food at the resort was good. There wasn't enough activity for an all inclusive. There wasn't enough chairs at either pool. And never enough towels. Our flight home got cancelled and we asked if they could accommodate us longer and we never received an answer. The resort also needs some repairs on the walkways, many bricks were loose. "

"Resort was beautiful with an abundance of amenities and beautiful grounds and views. The staff was extraordinary. They were always wanting to assist and did it with sincerity relative to making sure our stay was excellent. Definitely a bucket list trip for both St. Lucia and The Ladera Resort. "

"Rooms are very spacious and well kept (freshly painted, new appliances). Pool is very nice, gym is OK (excellent variety of equipment for a hotel gym, but kind of old/worn). Location right on the beach is fantastic — water is SO nice. And plenty of water sport options to be had. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Of note, we did have a bunch of minor problems — TV didn’t work, shower drain got clogged, key entry stopped working. They did fix them all fairly quickly, but I guess they could use a bit of a maintenance upgrade. None caused us anything other than a First World Problem! Overall, a very nice stay in Saint Lucia. I think other resorts may be nicer, but value here was definitely good from whatever else I saw. "

"The pool was lovely, as were the grounds. The staff, especially the groundskeepers and housekeepers were very friendly and warm. A nice feature is that the pool is open 24 hours, which I loved. Minor complaints: Visitors should be aware that the land along Reduit Beach near the hotel is walled off and under major construction. You have to walk down a pretty unattractive stretch of road to access the beach. We asked for a room change to a higher floor when we arrived and were told that the hotel was at capacity, but the room next to us and several others seemed to remain empty during our 4 day visit. Again, these are minor issues. The place is beautiful. "

"Good stuff first. Grounds, housekeeping, and most of staff was great especially Wendy at Chill pool bartender and Leaverne in weddings, Alison in housekeeping. Horrible part: We had a reservation for king bed unit, arrived and given a 2 bed unit for our wedding and honeymoon. Front desk did nothing to help on arrival day, went 2 times the next day to see about changing. Told that king beds were only for in house guests not Expedia. WHY WAS EXPEDIA GIVEN THOSE TYPE TO RESERVE? Not blaming Expedia. After spending 4 days trying get a king room, they finally reluctantly moved us. Our first unit with the 2 queen beds"

"We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. The front desk, housekeeping and service staff were very friendly and helpful, which we found of all St. Lucians we met. The restaurants within the hotel provided excellent food, the Saturday barbecue was incredible."
