"I was staying in a dorm with 7 other beds so I was worried about noise, but all the other guests I met were very conscientious about noise. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the decor was quite homey. The staff were friendly and helped me when I needed to fill out some forms in Japanese. "Clean, comfortable and close to shopping district. Rooms are small but come with an excellent private bath. I stayed here 15 years ago and remember liking it more than the fancy $300 a night hotel room paid for by my employer for work nights. Now, if you need space or are traveling with children I probably wouldn't book but it is easily the best value for a comfortable room in all of Japan in my opinion. "
