"Overall the deluxe room is excellent. Huge, modern and comfortable. The view over the Coral Sea is magnificent. The general facilities need an upgrade. Lots of areas looking worn and in disrepair. Reception staff nice but need to brush up on their local knowledge. No one mentioned there is a bus stop on the main road to go into Main shopping strip, nor mention of the free shuttle from Airlie Beach Hotel which is super convenient. In June, would be good if the pool was slightly heated. Whispers restaurant has excellent food. Ate dinner there most nights. Breakfast is pretty average."
