「It’s a rural pub with a big heart! Welcoming and friendly. Would love this as my local, and was treated as if we were.」

「We stayed at the Brace of Pheasants for one night and it was really lovely. The room was big, airy and beautifully furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was lovely. We ate dinner in the pub and it was absolutely delicious. I am coeliac and Matt, the owner, was very knowledgeable when helping me to decide what to have. 「Beautiful building. Ian, the manager, was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended place to stay.」

「Rooms needed upgrading. Smelt of damp and no decent ventilation in shower room which didn’t help. Shower clean but old.Breakfast only served between 8-9 even at weekend. Food good. But they did try to charge for room again when I’d paid in full when booked. They did refund it.」

「Great for a quick one night stop. Staff all friendly」

「It was in the centre of town and parking was very close to the lodge.」
