Fijn hotel met een eigen private pool bij kamer.

Geweldig verblijf waarbij de medewerkers hun uiterste best deden om het verblijf zeer aangenaam te maken. Mooie stranden, lekker eten en super kamer met een eigen private pool.

We had an amazing stay at Kikoi. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to their honeymoon suite and the room is outstanding with its own balcony, pool (seaview!) and even a small stretch to the beach. The other rooms with private pools are a bit less private but nonetheless very pretty. There are two public pools, a volleyball field and a sundeck with seaview lounge chairs. The common areas are the only thing that could be improved with a little more love (e.g. the wooden sundeck seemed a bit „rusty“). The on site restaurant is directly overviewing the ocean and serves excellent indian food that made us return several times. Don’t be initimidated by the large menu - every dish was fantastic and fairly priced. The breakfast is a tad basic and lacks variation but still tasty. The restaurant staff is very welcoming and remembers your name. We booked a mangrove SUP tour with the on site boat operator and the local guys were great and offered a very competitive price compared to offers closeby. Highly recommend doing the mangrove tour for sunset. From the hotel you can also take beach walks dependent on the tides to long stretches of white sand. This is a quiet part of the island, perfect if you are looking for some relaxing days.

Horrible, petit déjeuner en passant par l’hygiène des serviettes et des draps. Aucuns changement n’as été fait. Sécurité de l’hôtel qui exige 10000 shillings en guise de cadeau. Juste pour le dire cela as été le pire Hotel de ma vie. Réception qui vous vole avec le sourire jusqu’au petit matin dans votre chambre. les wraps sont fait avec les reste de crêpes du petit déjeuner . SCANDALEUX. Harcèlement du début à la fin. Et pour clôturer les serveurs du restaurant qui vous ajoute quelques plats au cas où ça passe!!! Il ce font leurs propres Tips

There are two sides of this place. First, the best parts: we stayed at the villa with private pool. The villa was new and everything worked, I mean everything with a great view. Also, the young guy at the reception was a man in the right place and he was able to organize everything we requested. Second, the worst parts, there's only one: the restaurant. The service was lowest I have ever encountered. After waiting two hours I received a wrong portion. There were mistakes on the bill constantly. And after that, the taste was not good (except for new years eve). If they only change all the kitchen staff, this place has a great future. I would stay here again, but not eat.

Eine der schönsten Seiten von Sansibar

Tolles neues Hotel mit allen Annehmlichkeiten. Wunderbar weißer Strand. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr lieb und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig. Und das Speisenangebot in den 2 Restaurants recht vielfältig. Wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wer das Paradies sucht, der ist hier richtig.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit auf Sansibar. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Es war deutlich zu merken, dass das Personal sehr zuvorkommend und darauf bedacht war unseren Urlaub so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Unser Zimmer war immer sehr, sehr sauber und absolut komfortabel, obwohl wir bei dieser wunderschönen Anlage kaum Zeit auf unserem Zimmer verbracht haben, geschweige denn wollten. Wir würden immer wieder dort buchen und empfehlen es sehr!

Ruhige Anlage

Da selbst Autofahren auf Sansibar nicht gerade empfohlen wird, hatten wir keinen Mietwagen sondern mussten jeweils einen privaten Transfer für Ausflüge buchen. Die Anlage liegt in einem ruhigen Teil der Insel, wie wir es auch wollten. Nachteil ist natürlich, dass man von dort schlecht wegkommt. Die Gezeiten machen sich hier wie fast überall auf der Insel stark bemerkbar. Wenn man Urlaube an der deutschen Nordsee mag, wird man sich auch hier wohlfühlen, der Strand sieht aber oft nicht so aus, wie auf den klassischen Sansibar Fotos. Strandwanderungen bei Ebbe muss man mögen, streunende Hunde am Strand ebenfalls. Ich habe mich bei meinem Jogging-Ausflug (und auch Spaziergang) "rechts runter" auf alle Fälle bedroht gefühlt, als mich zwei große, herrenlose Hunde mehrmals angesprungen haben. Dafür kann das Hotel natürlich nichts, aber dieses grundlegende Problem sollte vielleicht angegangen werden. Das Wandern und Kajak fahren in die Mangroven ("links runter") ist dafür mehr als entschädigend, einfach toll!! Die frischen Säfte sind ohne Übertreibung eine "Geschmacksexplosion" und das teils lange Warten lohnt sich. Cocktails mit Alkohl gibt es auch, aber erstmalig hat mich der Alkohol bei den köstlichen Säften fast gestört. :-) Da man ohne Auto an die Anlage gebunden ist, sollte man auch Hähnchen mögen, denn das findet sich reichlich auf der etwas übersichtlichen Speisekarte. Zum Frühstück kann man Eierspeisen bestellen. Das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Beautiful hotel. TERRIBLE SERVICE

Beautiful hotel with lovely facilities but is let down by its inept staff. Customer service is severely lacking and needs a lot of improvement - waiting 1 hour 40 minutes for a meal is unacceptable. Overcharging was also a big issue - there is a 100% mark-up on taxis booked through the hotel. Food hygiene is also questionable. In addition, there was a clump of hair stuck to the skirting board of the bedroom and a used toilet roll in the front garden of the bungalow throughout our stay (both there before we arrived and still there when we left). This is such a shame as the property is genuinely beautiful and it would take very little to bring it up to standard.
