"Excellent location on the Marina. Very clean rooms and pool area. Lovely spa experience with my massage. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Didn’t do AI but few poolside things I had were good and breakfast at Los Deseos was fantastic, both the food and the ambiance. Nice change from restaurants blasting loud music "

"The lady at check in didn't provide us any information. Not friendly at all. Got charged a fee at check in and another fee at check out which they said was tax. We had other friends with us and they didn't get charged the check out tax so not sure if we got scammed or the check in lady messed up. Either way not cool. We had two kids with us and got put in the furthest villa possible. 9000 top floor very end unit which was 60 steps up no elevator. Room was clean and the cleaners in the resort work really hard. However there were other people who said they had bed bugs in their room. We did not see any in ours. However we will be making sure to sanitize our bags and clothing wje. We get home. Water bottle and mini bar was easy to ask for through the Riu app. The cleaning staff is definitely the hardest working people at that place. And the most friendly. I tipped many of the bathroom cleaners and the ones who have to carry the water bottles and mini bar stock up all those stairs with no elevators... Would be nice to have an option on the app to pre book dinner times. Other all inclusive we have stayed at in the past and the way they do it at this place was super annoying and made no sense. The buffet was not great. Flies over everything. Nothing looked appealing. Steak house over rated. Italian, American and the Asian were pretty decent however if you could get in..rave to security cleaning staff were the best part of the resort. The rest we could do without. "

"We stayed here for 9 nights in late March/early April, 2026, a family of 4 with 2 kids, aged 8 & 10. The hotel was excellent, we loved our stay. The room was comfortable, the pools were great, and there was plenty to do as a family. We tried the bowling and one of the escape rooms. We loved all the restaurants, it was nice that you didn't need to reserve them (only 1 requires reservations), we liked the first come, first serve. Lots of bars in the hotel and by the pools, beach is nearby, and the property is beautiful, lively. The music is great - not too loud or obnoxious. Evening entertainment was good too. Our kids enjoyed the kids club and their staff. The only criticism I have is around the resort credits. When we booked, we got $200/day in resort credits but we barely used them, because you still have to pay 35% of whatever service you're getting and it still is quite expensive (massages were $375)- I found the resort credits useless and a bit of a rip off if I'm being honest - So if resort credits is your the tie-breaker for you, don't let it fool you - otherwise, everything else was great, and we'd stay here again."

"I really wanted to love this place, but after our stay I walked away with some serious mixed feelings and I am honestly not sure I would return. The staff was absolutely excellent and every person we encountered was friendly and attentive, and the views from the property were also quite beautiful. The coffee bar was fantastic and quickly became our favorite spot each morning. However, the hotel food was disappointing and fell well below what we expected. The better on-site restaurants had very limited seating and operated within short windows, which created a situation where guests were standing in line waiting for dinner at 4:30 in the afternoon, which is not the relaxing vacation experience anyone hopes for. The family pool was freezing cold and guests were allowed to claim the already limited lounge chairs by simply placing a towel on them even when they were nowhere around, making it nearly impossible to find a spot for your belongings. The adult pool was a much better experience and we recommend heading there instead. The mattresses in the rooms felt like sleeping on concrete slabs, making it very hard to get a decent night of rest after a long day. There are some enjoyable elements here but between the food, the dinner lines, the pool situation, and the uncomfortable beds, it is hard to give a strong recommendation and I am not sure we would make the trip back."

"We loved our stay at Sandos! The staff, the food, drinks, very clean property - amazing view from our room! I can't say enough. When relaxing by the pool or beach there are always people around to make sure you have a drink in hand. Restaurant variety and quality of food, absolutely excellent. We're already recommending this place to others. Thank you for a great vacation!"

"Uninviting lobby limited channels. House keeping knocking on my door at 7am was very rude. Most of the restaurant were closed. The rooms look nothing like the pictures. There's no fridgerator in the room. Go to Quartz"

"Got sick my first couple of days and the staff went above and beyond making sure I had what I needed. They were attentive and showed a willingness to help as much as possible. Room was always cleaned after house keeping and hotel overall was very well maintained. "
